# AI use cases for Humanizer (blader/humanizer)

Repo: [blader/humanizer](https://github.com/blader/humanizer) | Use cases: 3 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/blader-humanizer/

Humanizer is an agent skill that rewrites AI-written text so it reads like a person wrote it, without changing what it says. It is built on Wikipedia's Signs of AI writing guide and rewrites 26 patterns, such as 'not X but Y' lines, one-line closers and staged run-ups. It installs into Claude Code, Codex and other agents.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to rewrite an AI-drafted announcement so it reads like a person wrote it with Humanizer

Repo: [blader/humanizer](https://github.com/blader/humanizer) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 10 minutes | Basis: From the README

Install the Humanizer skill and run /humanizer on a launch post or update that sounds machine-written.

**Who it is for:** A founder or marketer who drafted a product announcement with an AI model and finds it full of hype phrases.

**The problem:** AI drafts lean on staged openers, inflated claims and one-line closers that readers now spot at once.

**The outcome:** The same announcement with the same facts, rewritten without the common AI tells.

### Steps

1. In Claude Code run `/plugin marketplace add blader/humanizer`, then `/plugin install humanizer@humanizer`
2. Start a session and type /humanizer, then paste your draft below it
3. Read the rewrite next to the original and check that every fact and number survived
4. Ask for another pass on any paragraph that still opens with a run-up such as 'Here's the thing'

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Use the blader/humanizer skill to rewrite <draft text or file> for human readers. Keep every fact, number and name exactly as written, and list which AI writing patterns you removed.
```

### Caveat

The README says Humanizer edits for human readers and getting past AI detectors is not a goal; detectors still flag most of its output.

## How to make AI text sound like your own writing with voice matching with Humanizer

Repo: [blader/humanizer](https://github.com/blader/humanizer) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Give Humanizer a sample of your writing first so the rewrite follows your rhythm and word choice.

**Who it is for:** A blogger or newsletter writer who uses AI for first drafts but wants the final copy to sound like them.

**The problem:** Generic rewrites remove AI tells but still do not sound like the person whose name is on the post.

**The outcome:** A rewrite of the AI draft that follows the voice in the sample you supplied.

### Steps

1. Install the skill in your agent (Claude Code plugin, or `npx skills add blader/humanizer --global --agent '*'` for other agents)
2. Type /humanizer and paste two or three paragraphs of your own writing as the voice sample
3. Then paste the AI text you want rewritten
4. Compare the result with your sample and keep the parts that sound like you

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Run blader/humanizer with voice matching: here is a sample of my writing <2 or 3 paragraphs>. Now humanize <AI draft> so it reads in my voice without changing any facts.
```

## How to clean up AI-written prose in your repo docs with Codex with Humanizer

Repo: [blader/humanizer](https://github.com/blader/humanizer) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 10 minutes | Basis: From the README

Install Humanizer globally for Codex and point it at a markdown file such as a launch post or README.

**Who it is for:** A developer whose docs and changelogs were drafted by a coding agent and read like marketing copy.

**The problem:** Agent-written docs fill up with bold-by-rule formatting, inflated phrases and leftovers from the chat.

**The outcome:** The markdown file rewritten in place with plainer prose, ready to review as a normal diff.

### Steps

1. Run `npx skills add blader/humanizer --global --agent codex`
2. Open Codex in the repo
3. Ask: Humanize the prose in docs/launch-post.md (or any other markdown file)
4. Review the diff and revert any sentence where meaning changed

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the blader/humanizer skill, humanize the prose in <path to markdown file>. Do not touch code blocks, commands or links, and show me the diff before saving.
```
