# AI use cases for Video Use (browser-use/video-use)

Repo: [browser-use/video-use](https://github.com/browser-use/video-use) | Use cases: 3 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/browser-use-video-use/

video-use lets you edit videos by chatting with Claude Code or another coding agent. Drop raw footage in a folder and get final.mp4 back: it cuts filler words and dead space, auto color grades, adds audio fades at every cut, burns subtitles, generates animation overlays and self-evaluates the render at every cut boundary. The agent reads an ElevenLabs word-level transcript instead of watching frames.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to turn a folder of raw takes into a finished launch video with Video Use

Repo: [browser-use/video-use](https://github.com/browser-use/video-use) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Point your agent at your footage and ask for a launch video; it proposes a plan, waits for OK and renders.

**Who it is for:** A founder who recorded several takes of a product pitch and has no time to edit.

**The problem:** Cutting ums, false starts and dead air across many takes takes hours in an editor.

**The outcome:** An edit/final.mp4 next to your sources with filler cut, color graded, subtitled and self-checked.

### Steps

1. Paste the README setup prompt into Claude Code or Codex so it installs the repo, ffmpeg and the skill
2. Give it your ElevenLabs API key when it asks
3. Run `cd /path/to/your/videos` and start your agent
4. Say edit these into a launch video and approve the proposed strategy
5. Review edit/final.mp4 and ask for changes

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using browser-use/video-use, inventory the takes in <folder>, propose a strategy for a 60 second launch video, and wait for my OK. Then cut filler words and dead space, add subtitles in the default style and render edit/final.mp4.
```

### Caveat

Risk, credentials: Your ElevenLabs key goes in .env; transcription sends audio to ElevenLabs, so do not use it for footage you cannot share.

## How to install Video Use as a Claude Code skill by hand with Video Use

Repo: [browser-use/video-use](https://github.com/browser-use/video-use) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Clone, symlink into your skills directory and add ffmpeg and your API key yourself.

**Who it is for:** A developer who prefers to see every install step instead of letting the agent do it.

**The problem:** Agent-driven installs can be opaque about what changed on your machine.

**The outcome:** Video Use registered as a skill in Claude Code or Codex, with dependencies and the API key in place.

### Steps

1. Run `git clone https://github.com/browser-use/video-use ~/Developer/video-use`
2. Symlink it: `ln -sfn ~/Developer/video-use ~/.claude/skills/video-use` for Claude Code
3. Install dependencies with uv sync (or pip install -e .) inside the folder
4. Run `brew install ffmpeg` and optionally `brew install yt-dlp`
5. Copy .env.example to .env and add ELEVENLABS_API_KEY

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Install browser-use/video-use manually for Claude Code following the README's manual steps, verify ffmpeg is on PATH, and tell me it is ready without transcribing anything.
```

## How to add animated overlays and color grades to a tutorial with Video Use

Repo: [browser-use/video-use](https://github.com/browser-use/video-use) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45 minutes | Basis: From the README

Ask the agent to generate animation overlays and apply a grade while it cuts your tutorial.

**Who it is for:** An educator or devrel who wants polished tutorials with diagrams and titles.

**The problem:** Motion graphics and grading need separate tools and skills most creators do not have.

**The outcome:** A tutorial with generated overlays (HyperFrames, Remotion, Manim or PIL), a consistent grade and project memory for next time.

### Steps

1. Set up Video Use as in the setup prompt
2. Put your tutorial takes in one folder and start your agent there
3. Ask for a warm cinematic or neutral punch grade and the overlays you need
4. Let it spawn parallel sub-agents, one per animation, and render
5. Next week, the session picks up from project.md

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using browser-use/video-use, edit the tutorial takes in <folder>: cut filler, apply a neutral punch grade, add animated overlays for <three concepts>, and keep notes in project.md so I can continue next week.
```
