Repo: [hanzohanzhe/Grandet](https://github.com/hanzohanzhe/Grandet) | Use cases: 4 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/hanzohanzhe-grandet/

Grandet is a price comparison tool and anonymous MCP server that lists model API prices from official, inference and relay providers, and can connect the chosen API to your AI agent.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to find the cheapest listed API for a model with Grandet

Repo: [hanzohanzhe/Grandet](https://github.com/hanzohanzhe/Grandet) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Ask your agent for the lowest listed price for a model, with the site, group, unit and observation date.

**Who it is for:** A developer paying for model API calls who needs the cheapest listed option for one model before committing budget.

**The problem:** Model API prices differ across official APIs, inference providers and relay sites, and comparing them by hand takes time.

**The outcome:** A short list of the cheapest few listed options for your model, each with its source and observation date, ranked by listed price only.

### Steps

1. Paste `Install Grandet Skill for me: https://grandet.ai/download.md` into your agent and let it finish the install.
2. Open a new conversation and ask for the cheapest API for your model, for example: Find me the cheapest Claude Sonnet 4.6 API.
3. Give your monthly token volume and input/output split if you want a monthly cost estimate.
4. Check the listed site, group, price, unit and observation date before you act on any result.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the Grandet Skill or the MCP server at https://grandet.ai/mcp, find the cheapest listed API for <model name>. Return the top three options with site, group, price, unit and observation date, and confirm that prices are shown in one currency unit only.
```

### Caveat

Grandet ranks by listed price only and says nothing about quality, speed or downgraded models, so check that the option fits your needs.

## How to find free credit for a model without a card with Grandet

Repo: [hanzohanzhe/Grandet](https://github.com/hanzohanzhe/Grandet) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Look up official free tiers and trial credit for a model, and see whether a card or ID check is needed.

**Who it is for:** A student, hobbyist or developer without a credit card who wants to try a model API at no cost.

**The problem:** Free tiers, trial credit and relay sign-up offers are scattered and change, and the eligibility rules are often unclear.

**The outcome:** A list of free credit offers for the model, each marked with whether a card, ID check or application is required.

### Steps

1. Ask your agent: Is there a free API for <model name>? I don't have a credit card.
2. Or query the HTTP free-credit lookup directly: `https://grandet.ai/api/v1/free-credits?q=gemini`, replacing gemini with your model or provider.
3. Read the card, ID check and application notes for each offer before signing up.
4. Open the source link for any offer you plan to use and confirm the terms on that site.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Use the Grandet free-credit lookup at https://grandet.ai/api/v1/free-credits?q=<model or provider> to list free credit offers for <model or provider>. Return each offer with whether a card, ID check or application is needed, and flag any offer that needs a card.
```

### Caveat

Free offers and promotions change over time, so confirm current terms on the source site before you rely on one.

## How to connect the cheapest API to your coding agent with Grandet

Repo: [hanzohanzhe/Grandet](https://github.com/hanzohanzhe/Grandet) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45 minutes | Basis: From the README

Store a key hidden in your terminal and let Grandet write a backed-up config change to your agent.

**Who it is for:** A developer who has chosen a cheap API and wants Codex, Claude Code or another listed app set up with it without editing config files by hand.

**The problem:** Pointing a coding agent at a new API means editing config files, storing a key safely and checking that the model name and group are right.

**The outcome:** Your chosen app is configured to use the API, with a backup of the previous file and a check that the key, group and model name work without spending credit.

### Steps

1. Sign up and top up on the site yourself, then create the token in the group Grandet names.
2. Run one command in your own terminal to store the key; typing is hidden and the key never enters the chat.
3. Ask your agent to connect the API to your app, and review the exact configuration change it shows you.
4. Confirm the change so the file is backed up and written, then let the check run.
5. Say undo if you want the previous setup restored.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the Grandet Skill connect program for <app name, for example Codex or Claude Code>, connect the chosen API for <model name>. Show the configuration change before writing, confirm the backup was made, and report the result of the key, group and model name check.
```

### Caveat

Connecting covers only the apps Grandet names, such as Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode and Gemini CLI; other apps get only a field card and documentation link.

Risk, credentials: You store a provider API key on your machine, so keep it out of chats, screenshots and issue reports.

Risk, remote script: The Skill is installed from a URL, so review what the agent installs before you approve it.

## How to pull the live price board into your own analysis with Grandet

Repo: [hanzohanzhe/Grandet](https://github.com/hanzohanzhe/Grandet) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Fetch the public price board over HTTP to compare model prices in a script or spreadsheet.

**Who it is for:** A data analyst or engineer building a cost model or dashboard who needs current listed API prices in a machine-readable form.

**The problem:** Comparing many model prices by hand across many sites is slow and easy to get wrong.

**The outcome:** A local dataset of listed prices you can sort, filter and chart, with the source and date attached to each row.

### Steps

1. Fetch the price board: `https://grandet.ai/api/v1/board`.
2. Read the API description at https://grandet.ai/public-data/price-finder.json to learn the fields.
3. Keep the observation date and unit with each price so you never compare USD credit, CNY credit and cash prices directly.
4. Filter the rows to your models and build your cost comparison from them.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Fetch https://grandet.ai/api/v1/board and read the field description at https://grandet.ai/public-data/price-finder.json. Produce a table of listed prices for <model name> with source, unit and observation date, and do not compare USD, CNY or cash prices with each other.
```

### Caveat

The board reflects listed prices only, so cross-check any figure against its source before using it in a budget.
