humanize (hmz) is an agent flow system, written in Python, that runs flows of coding agent CLIs such as Claude Code or Codex from a terminal, a browser, or a desktop window.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to run a one-off agent flow from your shell with Humanize

Repo: [humanfia/humanize](https://github.com/humanfia/humanize) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Send one question or task to a chat flow and get the agent's answer in your terminal.

**Who it is for:** A developer in a terminal who wants a quick answer about a repository from a coding agent they already pay for.

**The problem:** Asking a coding agent a question about a codebase usually means opening its interface and setting it up each time.

**The outcome:** A single command runs the chat flow with a chosen agent and prints the response to the shell.

### Steps

1. Install uv and confirm you are signed in to Claude Code or Codex.
2. Run `uv tool install hmz` to install Humanize.
3. Go to a scratch repository, not your main working copy.
4. Run `hmz exec -f chat -a assistant=claude/claude-opus-5:high "What does this repository do?"`.
5. Read the answer and replace the question text to ask something else.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the humanize repo (hmz), run `hmz exec -f chat -a assistant=claude/claude-opus-5:high "Summarize the purpose of the repository at <repo-path>"` from a scratch directory. Output the agent's summary as plain text. Verify that the summary names at least one file or folder from <repo-path>.
```

### Caveat

The README says agents run with approvals bypassed, so run this only in a scratch repository.

Risk, credentials: The flow uses the coding agent CLI you are signed in to, so the agent acts with your account and its access.

Dual-use notice: only use this on software, sites and systems you own or are authorized to test.

## How to watch every epic on your machine in a browser with Humanize

Repo: [humanfia/humanize](https://github.com/humanfia/humanize) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Open one local web view that lists all epics on this machine.

**Who it is for:** A developer running several agent flows at once who wants one place to check their status.

**The problem:** Flows started in different repositories are hard to track when each one lives in a separate terminal.

**The outcome:** A browser window shows every epic on the machine, so you can see them together.

### Steps

1. Install uv and confirm you are signed in to Claude Code or Codex.
2. Run `uv tool install hmz` to install Humanize.
3. Run `hmz web` in a terminal.
4. Open the browser page that the command shows.
5. Stop the command when you are done watching.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the humanize repo (hmz), run `hmz web` and open the local page it prints. Report the number of epics listed and their names as plain text. Verify that the count matches the epics you started earlier on this machine.
```

### Caveat

The README describes this view as opening every epic on the machine, so anyone using the same machine account can see those epics.

Dual-use notice: only use this on software, sites and systems you own or are authorized to test.

## How to try the terminal interface without installing with Humanize

Repo: [humanfia/humanize](https://github.com/humanfia/humanize) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Run the latest hmz release from uv's cache to test the terminal interface first.

**Who it is for:** A developer evaluating Humanize who does not want to install a tool permanently yet.

**The problem:** Installing a new agent tool just to test it adds cleanup work if it does not fit the workflow.

**The outcome:** The terminal interface opens in a repository from a cached copy, and the permanent install stays optional.

### Steps

1. Install uv and confirm you are signed in to Claude Code or Codex.
2. Go to a scratch repository, not your main working copy.
3. Run `uvx hmz@latest` to open the terminal interface from the newest release.
4. Explore the interface, then quit it.
5. Run `uv tool install hmz` only if you decide to keep it.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the humanize repo (hmz), run `uvx hmz@latest` inside <scratch-repo-path>. Report the first screen or prompt the interface shows, as plain text. Verify that the interface opened from the scratch repository and did not change any files in <scratch-repo-path>.
```

### Caveat

Because agents run with approvals bypassed, test the interface only in a scratch repository, not one with work you cannot lose.

Dual-use notice: only use this on software, sites and systems you own or are authorized to test.
