Repo: [Jakeschincariol/founder-skill](https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/founder-skill) | Use cases: 4 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/jakeschincariol-founder-skill/

A set of eleven free Claude skills and four standard-library Python tools that help you test a business idea (board review, competitor research, simulated buyer panel, pricing, offer, unit economics, marketing, brand, operations, launch and a business plan) before you launch it.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to stress-test a business idea before you launch with Founder Skill

Repo: [Jakeschincariol/founder-skill](https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/founder-skill) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 1 hour | Basis: From the README

Run a board review and a 100-buyer simulated panel on an idea before you spend money.

**Who it is for:** A founder or small business owner who has an idea for a product or service and wants to find objections and weak points before committing savings.

**The problem:** Launching first and learning why buyers say no is expensive, and friends or spreadsheets rarely surface the real objections.

**The outcome:** A scored board verdict (fund, fund if, or pass), a list of risks and the buyer objections and reasons to pass from the simulated consumer panel.

### Steps

1. Install the skills by pasting https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/founder-skill into Claude and saying `install skill`, or copy the folders with `cp -r founder-skill/skills/founder-* ~/.claude/skills/`.
2. Run `/founder-board` to write founder/idea.md and get the three board votes and their conditions.
3. Run `/founder-consumer --quick` to get a fast read on who would buy and why they would pass.
4. Read the conditions from the board and the objections from the panel and decide whether to fund, change the idea or pass.

```text
Using the Jakeschincariol/founder-skill repo installed as Claude skills, run /founder-board and then /founder-consumer --quick on the idea described in <idea description>. Output the board vote, the top three objections and the reasons buyers would pass, saved under founder/. Verify that the panel answers are treated as simulated research and not as real customer evidence.
```

### Caveat

The consumer panel is simulated buyers and language models lean agreeable, so the buy rate is an upper bound and big calls need real people.

## How to calculate real margins, break-even and payback with Founder Skill

Repo: [Jakeschincariol/founder-skill](https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/founder-skill) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45 minutes | Basis: From the README

Run unit economics on your numbers to see profit per sale, break-even and cash needed.

**Who it is for:** A founder with planned prices and costs who needs to know whether each sale makes money and how long the startup spend takes to earn back.

**The problem:** Revenue projections hide per-sale costs, and it is unclear how many units are needed to cover fixed costs.

**The outcome:** A CFO report with contribution per sale, profit margin at plan, break-even per day, year 1 by month, cash needed, payback and what-ifs.

### Steps

1. Install the skills with `cp -r founder-skill/skills/founder-* ~/.claude/skills/` or by pasting the repo link into Claude.
2. Run `/founder-cfo` or fill in founder/numbers.json using skills/founder-cfo/example.json as the template.
3. Run `python3 skills/founder-cfo/unit_economics.py founder/numbers.json --out founder/cfo.md` to produce the report.
4. Replace the estimates with real supplier quotes and rerun the command.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the Jakeschincariol/founder-skill repo, build founder/numbers.json for <business name> from the prices and costs I give you, then run `python3 skills/founder-cfo/unit_economics.py founder/numbers.json --out founder/cfo.md`. Output the contribution per sale, break-even per day and year 1 totals from cfo.md. Verify that every number traces to an input and that missing fields produce an error rather than a guessed value.
```

### Caveat

The CFO marks every estimate as an estimate, so check costs with suppliers and payroll and tax with an accountant.

## How to find an acceptable price range from buyer answers with Founder Skill

Repo: [Jakeschincariol/founder-skill](https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/founder-skill) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Turn four price answers per buyer into a range and check your planned price against it.

**Who it is for:** A founder who has panel results or a CSV from a real price survey and needs to decide what to charge.

**The problem:** Picking a price by guesswork risks setting it too high to sell or too low to cover costs.

**The outcome:** The optimal and indifference price points and a check of your planned price against the acceptable range.

### Steps

1. Run `/founder-consumer` to produce the four price answers per buyer under founder/panel/answers.
2. Run `python3 skills/founder-pricing/van_westendorp.py founder/panel/answers --price 6.50` with your planned price.
3. Compare the output range with the competitor prices from `/founder-competitors`.
4. Pick one price to test and record it for the offer step.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the Jakeschincariol/founder-skill repo, run `python3 skills/founder-pricing/van_westendorp.py founder/panel/answers --price <planned price>` and report the acceptable price range, the optimal and indifference prices and whether the planned price falls inside the range. Verify that the input is either panel answers or a real survey CSV and say which one was used.
```

### Caveat

The price range is only as good as the simulated or surveyed answers, so confirm the chosen price with real buyers.

## How to compile a business plan with a computed verdict with Founder Skill

Repo: [Jakeschincariol/founder-skill](https://github.com/Jakeschincariol/founder-skill) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Assemble all the founder files into one plan with a verdict from the numbers.

**Who it is for:** A founder who has run the other skills and needs one business plan to share with a partner, lender or advisor.

**The problem:** Plans written by hand can say a business is viable even when the numbers do not support it.

**The outcome:** founder/business-plan.md with a verdict of Profitable, Not yet or Incomplete computed from the CFO, panel and capacity figures.

### Steps

1. Run the earlier steps so that the founder/ folder holds the board, panel, pricing, CFO and ops files.
2. Run `python3 skills/founder-plan/compile.py --dir founder` to build the plan.
3. Open founder/business-plan.md and read the verdict and the reasons behind it.
4. If the verdict is Incomplete or Not yet, return to the step that is missing or weak and rerun it.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the Jakeschincariol/founder-skill repo, run `python3 skills/founder-plan/compile.py --dir founder` and report the verdict (Profitable, Not yet or Incomplete) and the reason for it from founder/business-plan.md. Verify that the verdict comes from the computed checks on unit economics, year 1 profit, break-even against capacity and the share of the panel that buys, and not from prose.
```

### Caveat

Not financial, legal or tax advice, so a professional should confirm permits, trademarks, structure and tax before acting on the plan.
