# AI use cases for Chai UI (kazarazat/chai-ui)

Repo: [kazarazat/chai-ui](https://github.com/kazarazat/chai-ui) | Use cases: 3 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/kazarazat-chai-ui/

Chai UI is a React and Vue design system for AI model interactions, built on Material Design 3, with components like a multi-modal Composer and result cards that run on Fal.ai, OpenRouter, Vercel AI Gateway or your own engine.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to add an AI prompt bar and results to a React app with Chai UI

Repo: [kazarazat/chai-ui](https://github.com/kazarazat/chai-ui) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45 minutes | Basis: From the README

Install the packages and wire Composer and ResultCard to a Fal engine.

**Who it is for:** A frontend developer adding image generation to a product.

**The problem:** Building a polished prompt bar with model menus and attachments takes weeks.

**The outcome:** A working Composer with results rendered in cards.

### Steps

1. Run `pnpm add @chai-ui/react @chai-ui/core @chai-ui/tokens`
2. Import the token CSS and component styles
3. Create an engine with createFalEngine and pass it to useComposer
4. Render Composer and ResultCard inside ChaiProvider

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Add kazarazat/chai-ui to <React app>, wire Composer to createFalEngine, and generate one image. Confirm the ResultCard shows the result and status transitions.
```

### Caveat

The model menu pre-fills aspect ratios per model, so check them for custom models.

Risk, credentials: The engine uses your provider key; keep it on the server side.

## How to use the same AI components in Vue or Nuxt with Chai UI

Repo: [kazarazat/chai-ui](https://github.com/kazarazat/chai-ui) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45 minutes | Basis: From the README

Add the Composer and ResultCard components to a Vue 3.5 or Nuxt app and run image or text generation through Fal.ai.

**Who it is for:** A Vue developer adding an AI generation screen who does not want to rebuild prompt boxes and result grids.

**The problem:** Most AI UI kits are React only, and wiring queued, running and done states by hand is fiddly.

**The outcome:** A working generation screen in Vue with a multi-modal Composer, live result cards and keys kept on your server.

### Steps

1. Run `pnpm add @chai-ui/vue @chai-ui/core @chai-ui/tokens` (Vue 3.5 or later, Nuxt included)
2. Import the CSS with `import "@chai-ui/tokens/css";`
3. Import `Composer, ResultCard, createFalEngine, useComposer` from @chai-ui/vue and create the engine with `createFalEngine()`
4. Add a server route with `createChaiHandler` from @chai-ui/core/server so the Fal key never reaches the browser
5. Render Composer and map run results to ResultCard

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Add a chai-ui generation page to my Nuxt app at <route> using @chai-ui/vue with the Fal engine and a server handler. Confirm the API key is only read server side.
```

### Caveat

You need a Fal.ai, OpenRouter or Vercel AI Gateway account, or your own engine, for anything to generate.

## How to let your coding agent build UI from the design reference with Chai UI

Repo: [kazarazat/chai-ui](https://github.com/kazarazat/chai-ui) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Point your coding agent at Chai UI's DESIGN.md and llms.txt so it builds a consistent AI generation screen on the first try.

**Who it is for:** A solo builder using Claude Code or Cursor who wants an AI image app that looks designed, not improvised.

**The problem:** Agents invent their own spacing, colors and states, so every screen looks different.

**The outcome:** A generation screen built from Material Design 3 based components that follows the documented rules.

### Steps

1. Run `pnpm add @chai-ui/react @chai-ui/core @chai-ui/tokens` (React 18.3 or 19)
2. Give your agent packages/react/DESIGN.md from the repo
3. Also give it Chai UI.com/docs/llms.txt as the API reference
4. Ask: build a generation screen with Composer and ResultCard using the Fal engine
5. Check the result against the accessibility section of DESIGN.md

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Read chai-ui's DESIGN.md and https://chai-ui.com/docs/llms.txt, then build a <type> generation screen in <app> with Composer and ResultCard. Keep API keys server side and list any rule from DESIGN.md you could not follow.
```

### Caveat

The components call a model provider, so the screen only works once a Fal.ai, OpenRouter or gateway key is set on your server.
