# AI use cases for Scroll Studio (Okohedeki/scroll-studio)

Repo: [Okohedeki/scroll-studio](https://github.com/Okohedeki/scroll-studio) | Use cases: 3 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/okohedeki-scroll-studio/

Scroll Studio is an open-source local design studio that builds scroll-driven landing pages from one YAML file, generating images, film and 3D with open models on your own GPU, and can be driven by Claude through MCP.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to build a scroll-driven landing page from an example with Scroll Studio

Repo: [Okohedeki/scroll-studio](https://github.com/Okohedeki/scroll-studio) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Install, check your machine, and build a live 3D example that needs nothing but Python.

**Who it is for:** A developer curious whether a scroll site fits their product launch.

**The problem:** Scroll-driven sites take a lot of custom animation work.

**The outcome:** A finished plain HTML, CSS and JS site previewed locally.

### Steps

1. Run `git clone https://github.com/Okohedeki/scroll-studio && cd scroll-studio`
2. Install with `pip install -e .` and run `studio doctor`
3. Run `studio build examples/cellwright-bio`
4. Preview with `studio preview cellwright-bio`

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Install Okohedeki/scroll-studio, run `studio doctor`, then build and preview examples/cellwright-bio. Confirm the preview loads at localhost:5173.
```

### Caveat

Generated film and images need a capable GPU; live 3D examples do not.

## How to design a scroll site for your brand from a brief with Scroll Studio

Repo: [Okohedeki/scroll-studio](https://github.com/Okohedeki/scroll-studio) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 2 hours | Basis: From the README

Start a site from a brief, pick one of six art directions, storyboard it, then build, inspect and publish it as a static folder.

**Who it is for:** A founder or designer preparing a product launch page who wants scroll-driven video and 3D without a motion studio.

**The problem:** Rendering video before everyone agrees on a direction wastes GPU hours and forces full rebuilds for small changes.

**The outcome:** A storyboarded, built scroll site in your chosen direction, checked for visual glitches and exported for any static host.

### Steps

1. Install with `git clone https://github.com/Okohedeki/scroll-studio && cd scroll-studio`, `pip install -e .`, then `studio doctor` to see what this machine can build
2. Run `studio new my-site` and edit the starter site.yaml with your brand and copy
3. Run `studio directions my-site`, compare the six art directions and pick one with `--pick`
4. Run `studio storyboard my-site --edit` for sketches, stills and an animatic before any video render
5. Run `studio build my-site`, then `studio inspect my-site`, then `studio publish my-site --out site`

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
With Scroll Studio, create <site> from this brief: <brief>. Show me the six directions, storyboard the one I pick, build it, run `studio inspect`, and list every issue it reports before publishing.
```

### Caveat

Image, film and 3D generation run on open models on your own GPU; `studio doctor` tells you which stages your machine can build.

## How to let Claude drive the studio through MCP with Scroll Studio

Repo: [Okohedeki/scroll-studio](https://github.com/Okohedeki/scroll-studio) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 1 hour | Basis: From the README

Connect Claude so it can install, direct and build sites for you.

**Who it is for:** A non-designer who wants to describe the page and let an agent produce it.

**The problem:** Learning a new design tool takes time.

**The outcome:** An agent-built scroll site.

### Steps

1. Ask your agent: Install Scroll Studio on this machine and build one of its examples, following the INSTALL doc
2. Connect the studio's MCP to Claude
3. Describe your brand and sections
4. Review the storyboard before the render

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Install Scroll Studio following docs/INSTALL.md, then build a site for <brand> through MCP. Show me the storyboard before rendering video.
```

### Caveat

Everything is generated on your machine with open models, so build time depends on your hardware.
