# AI use cases for Paradev (ParadevAI/Paradev)

Repo: [ParadevAI/Paradev](https://github.com/ParadevAI/Paradev) | Use cases: 3 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/paradevai-paradev/

Paradev (formerly Superset) is a desktop workspace for running Claude Code, Codex, Cursor Agent, Gemini CLI and other CLI coding agents in parallel. Each task gets its own Git worktree, branch and terminals, with a built-in diff viewer, an in-app browser for previews, agent monitoring, automations, remote access and a `superset` CLI, SDK and MCP server.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to run several coding agents in parallel, each in its own worktree with Paradev

Repo: [ParadevAI/Paradev](https://github.com/ParadevAI/Paradev) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 20 minutes | Basis: From the README

Install Paradev, add a repo, and give each task its own workspace with a branch and terminals.

**Who it is for:** A developer who wants Claude Code fixing one bug while Codex builds a feature, without them colliding.

**The problem:** Running two agents in one checkout means they overwrite each other's files.

**The outcome:** Separate workspaces per task, each reviewed in Changes and previewed before you commit.

### Steps

1. Download the desktop app for macOS (Apple Silicon or Intel .dmg) from the releases page
2. Add a repository from your computer or clone one
3. Create a workspace, choose your CLI agent, and describe a small change
4. Repeat for a second task; each gets its own Git worktree, branch and terminals
5. Inspect each patch in Changes, run the tests, preview the app in the browser pane, then commit

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Set up ParadevAI/Paradev on <repo>, create two workspaces, run <agent A> on <task A> and <agent B> on <task B>, and show me each diff in Changes before anything is committed.
```

### Caveat

Worktrees separate working files; they do not sandbox processes or prevent merge conflicts.

## How to send selected PR diff lines to an agent and get the fix with Paradev

Repo: [ParadevAI/Paradev](https://github.com/ParadevAI/Paradev) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Open a pull request in Paradev, select diff lines and send the feedback to a running or new agent session.

**Who it is for:** A reviewer who wants review comments turned into fixes without retyping context for the agent.

**The problem:** Copying review comments and file context into an agent chat loses the exact lines.

**The outcome:** An agent session that fixes the selected lines, with posting to GitHub optional.

### Steps

1. Install gh (Paradev offers to install it) to enable PR workflows
2. Open Pull requests, then Code, in Paradev
3. Select the diff lines that need changes and send feedback to a running or new agent session
4. Review the agent's patch in the built-in diff viewer
5. Commit and push when ready

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
In ParadevAI/Paradev, open PR <number>, send these diff lines with my feedback <feedback> to a new <agent> session, and show me the resulting diff before pushing.
```

## How to script workspaces and agents from your shell with the Paradev CLI with Paradev

Repo: [ParadevAI/Paradev](https://github.com/ParadevAI/Paradev) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Install the standalone CLI and create workspaces, launch agents and read terminals from scripts.

**Who it is for:** A developer who wants to kick off agent tasks from scripts or from another agent.

**The problem:** Starting agent sessions by clicking does not scale to many repos or scheduled jobs.

**The outcome:** Workspaces, agents and automations driven from the `superset` CLI or the MCP server.

### Steps

1. Run `curl -fsSL https://paradev.com/cli/install.sh | sh` or `brew install paradevai/tap/superset`
2. Use the CLI to create a workspace and launch an agent in it
3. Read the agent's terminal output from the CLI
4. Set up an automation to run an agent session on a schedule, such as triaging new issues
5. Or connect the MCP server so Claude Code or Codex can create workspaces themselves

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Install the ParadevAI/Paradev CLI with Homebrew and write a script that creates a workspace in <repo>, launches <agent> on <task>, and prints its terminal output when done.
```

### Caveat

Risk, remote script: The standalone CLI installer pipes a remote script into sh; Homebrew is the alternative.
