Repo: [pdparchitect/noodle](https://github.com/pdparchitect/noodle) | Use cases: 4 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/pdparchitect-noodle/

Noodle is a free, open source app that runs personal AI agents on your Mac, iPhone and iPad, using the AI harnesses and accounts you already have.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to run a persistent task agent on your Mac with Noodle

Repo: [pdparchitect/noodle](https://github.com/pdparchitect/noodle) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 30 min | Basis: From the README

Install Noodle, connect your AI account and give a bot a recurring task with its own workspace.

**Who it is for:** A knowledge worker on a Mac who already pays for an AI tool and repeatedly re-explains the same context for research or document work.

**The problem:** Chat sessions forget your role, files and past work, so each new request starts from zero.

**The outcome:** A named bot with its own workspace, backstory and history that picks up the same task each time you return.

### Steps

1. Download the Noodle DMG from the Noodle link in the README, open it and drag Noodle to Applications.
2. Open Noodle and follow Settings → Harness to install and sign in to your harness.
3. Create a bot, choose its harness and describe its role in the backstory.
4. Give it a task and the files or context it needs, and keep the bot's workspace for later runs.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the Noodle project at github.com/pdparchitect/noodle, guide a user through installing Noodle on macOS 26 and creating one bot for <task description>. Expected output: a bot named <bot name> with a backstory and one task started. Verify that the bot's workspace shows the files you attached.
```

### Caveat

Noodle only runs on the harnesses it lists and needs macOS 26, so older Macs cannot use the main app.

## How to coordinate a group of bots on one goal with Noodle

Repo: [pdparchitect/noodle](https://github.com/pdparchitect/noodle) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45 min | Basis: From the README

Add several agents to one group conversation so they work toward a shared goal together.

**Who it is for:** A team lead or solo project owner who needs several specialised agents to split a larger job such as a report or launch plan.

**The problem:** One agent handling every part of a project loses focus, and separate chats never share progress.

**The outcome:** A group where each bot keeps its own role and history while contributing to the same goal.

### Steps

1. Create at least two bots in Noodle, each with a different role written into its backstory.
2. Create a group in Noodle and add the bots you want working together.
3. Describe the shared goal in the group and attach the files each bot needs.
4. Review each bot's replies in the group and adjust roles in Edit Bot if the work overlaps.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the Noodle repo at github.com/pdparchitect/noodle, set up a group of two bots to work toward <shared goal>. Expected output: a group containing both bots and a first shared message from each. Verify that each bot's backstory describes a different role.
```

### Caveat

The README describes groups but does not say how many bots a group can hold, so test with a small group first.

## How to let a bot work in your signed-in browser with Noodle

Repo: [pdparchitect/noodle](https://github.com/pdparchitect/noodle) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45 min | Basis: From the README

Assign a Noodle Browser profile with your sign-ins to a bot for web tasks.

**Who it is for:** A user who needs an agent to check or act on websites that require their own login, such as a dashboard they already use.

**The problem:** Agents cannot reach pages behind your sign-ins unless they run in a browser that already holds them.

**The outcome:** A bot that uses your signed-in pages in the background and sends clickable previews back to the conversation.

### Steps

1. Download and install Noodle Browser from the Noodle Browser link in the README.
2. Create a browser in Noodle Browser and sign in to each site the bot needs.
3. Open the bot's Browsers tab in Noodle and add the browser.
4. Give the bot a web task and check the clickable previews it sends back.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the Noodle repo at github.com/pdparchitect/noodle, assign a Noodle Browser profile to a bot and ask it to check <website or dashboard>. Expected output: a short summary and at least one clickable preview in the conversation. Verify that the browser profile holds the sign-in the bot needs before you let it act.
```

### Caveat

Each browser keeps its own sign-ins and browsing data, so use a separate browser for sites you do not want the bot to reach.

Risk, credentials: The bot acts inside pages where you are already signed in, so it can reach any account in that browser profile.

## How to chat with your Mac's bots from your phone with Noodle

Repo: [pdparchitect/noodle](https://github.com/pdparchitect/noodle) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 60 min | Basis: From the README

Pair your iPhone with your Mac through Noodle Hub settings to talk to your own bots.

**Who it is for:** A user who runs bots on a Mac at home and wants to check on them or send tasks from iPhone or iPad while away.

**The problem:** Bots running on a desktop are out of reach when you are away from it.

**The outcome:** Your Mac appears in Noodle Mobile as a Hub with your own bots, reachable from your phone.

### Steps

1. Turn on Let My Devices Reach This Mac in Settings → Hub on your Mac.
2. Choose Add Device… in the same screen and scan the code with Noodle on your phone.
3. Open Noodle Mobile on iPhone or iPad from the TestFlight link in the README.
4. Keep the Mac awake and, for access away from home, let Noodle ask your router to forward its port or add your own address.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the Noodle repo at github.com/pdparchitect/noodle, pair an iPhone with a Mac running Noodle and send a test message to <bot name>. Expected output: the bot replies in Noodle Mobile. Verify that the Mac is awake and that the phone shows the Mac as a Hub.
```

### Caveat

Noodle Mobile is a TestFlight beta and the Mac must stay awake while phone access is on.
