# AI use cases for T3 Code (pingdotgg/t3code)

Repo: [pingdotgg/t3code](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code) | Use cases: 3 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/pingdotgg-t3code/

T3 Code is an open-source control surface for the coding agents already on your machine. It works with your existing Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Grok Build, OpenCode and Antigravity subscriptions, and gives you a local web app, an Electron desktop app and iOS and Android apps for remote control. The README says the team is selling nothing and wants it easy to fork.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to run Claude Code and Codex from one app instead of terminals with T3 Code

Repo: [pingdotgg/t3code](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 10 minutes | Basis: From the README

Install T3 Code, start the local server, and drive your existing agent subscriptions from the web or desktop app.

**Who it is for:** A developer juggling several agent CLIs in terminal tabs.

**The problem:** Terminal-only agents are hard to follow across many threads and projects.

**The outcome:** One app that controls the agents already set up on your machine.

### Steps

1. Install and sign in to at least one agent, for example `codex login` or `claude auth login`
2. Install T3 Code with `curl -fsSL https://t3.codes/install.sh | sh`, or `brew install --cask t3-code`
3. Run `t3` to start the server and open the local web app
4. Or try it once with `npx t3@latest`

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Install pingdotgg/t3code, connect it to my signed-in <Claude Code or Codex>, open a thread on this repo for <task>, and tell me where T3 Code stores its state.
```

### Caveat

Risk, remote script: The one-line installer runs a script from the internet; Homebrew, winget or the release files are alternatives.

## How to steer your coding agents from your phone with T3 Code

Repo: [pingdotgg/t3code](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 20 minutes | Basis: From the README

Keep T3 Code running in the background and use the mobile app for remote access.

**Who it is for:** Someone who wants to check on and answer their agents while away from the desk.

**The problem:** Agents block on a question while you are away and lose hours.

**The outcome:** Your agents reachable from the iOS or Android app, with the server always running at home.

### Steps

1. Run `t3 service install` so the server keeps running in the background
2. Install the iOS or Android app
3. Follow the remote access guide to connect your phone
4. Answer or redirect agents from the phone

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Set up pingdotgg/t3code as a background service with t3 service install, then walk me through the remote access guide to connect my phone, and list what is exposed to the network.
```

### Caveat

Remote access exposes control of agents that can edit code and run commands; follow the guide's security steps.

## How to keep T3 Code running in the background and up to date with T3 Code

Repo: [pingdotgg/t3code](https://github.com/pingdotgg/t3code) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 5 minutes | Basis: From the README

Install it as a service and update it with one command.

**Who it is for:** A daily user who wants the app always available.

**The problem:** Manually restarting tools after reboots and updates is friction.

**The outcome:** T3 Code starting with your machine and updated on your terms.

### Steps

1. Run `t3 service install` to keep it in the background
2. Update with `t3 update`
3. See every option with `t3 --help`

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Install pingdotgg/t3code as a background service, confirm it survives a restart, and add a weekly reminder to run t3 update.
```
