## How to write a precise Veo 3 video prompt in Claude Code with Cinematic Video Prompt Skill

Repo: [Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill](https://github.com/Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Turn a rough scene idea into one English prompt with shot, lighting, camera move and grade.

**Who it is for:** A video creator in Claude Code who needs a clip prompt for Veo 3 or Kling and gets vague results from plain wording.

**The problem:** Plain prompts like 'a nice cinematic scene' leave camera, lighting and style to chance, so output varies widely.

**The outcome:** One English prompt in a code block, ordered by the skill's formula, with a short explanation of the choices.

### Steps

1. Run `git clone https://github.com/Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill.git ~/.claude/skills/cinematic-video-prompt`
2. Open Claude Code and ask for a prompt, for example: write a Veo 3 prompt for a rainy night street scene.
3. Check that the prompt has one camera movement, one main action, and lighting that matches the weather and time of day.
4. Copy the English prompt from the code block into Veo 3, Google Flow or Kling and generate a test clip.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the cinematic-video-prompt skill from the repo Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill, write one English text-to-video prompt for <target scene> for <target model, such as Veo 3 or Kling>. Return the prompt in a code block in the formula order of shot, subject, action, setting, lighting, camera movement, style, mood, technical, plus a one-line explanation. Verify the prompt contains exactly one camera movement and one main action.
```

### Caveat

The README lists many compatible models but shows no test results, so check each generated prompt on the model you actually use.

## How to get cinematic video prompts from any chat AI with Cinematic Video Prompt Skill

Repo: [Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill](https://github.com/Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Paste the SKILL.md file as custom instructions to get precise prompts without installing anything.

**Who it is for:** A marketer or hobbyist using ChatGPT, Gemini or a local LLM who wants better video prompts but does not use Claude Code.

**The problem:** Generic chat replies to 'make me a video prompt' often miss camera and lighting terms that video models respond to.

**The outcome:** A chat session that answers video prompt requests with structured English prompts and a short reason for each choice.

### Steps

1. Open SKILL.md in the repo at https://github.com/Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill and copy its full text.
2. Paste the text into the system prompt or custom instruction field of your chat AI.
3. Describe your scene in one or two sentences, for example a monk meditating on a mountain at dawn.
4. Copy the English prompt from the reply and paste it into your video model.

```text
Use the contents of SKILL.md from the repo Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill as your system instructions. Write one English video prompt for <target scene> for <target model>, in a code block, with a one-line explanation. Verify the reply uses the camera, lighting and style terms from the skill and does not combine conflicting lighting or weather.
```

### Caveat

The reference files are long, so the README says to paste them only when deeper vocabulary is needed, and the chat AI may not follow the skill as reliably as Claude does.

## How to keep one character consistent across several clips with Cinematic Video Prompt Skill

Repo: [Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill](https://github.com/Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Generate a character reference sheet prompt and reuse the same description in every clip.

**Who it is for:** A short-film or social video maker in Claude Code whose main character changes look from clip to clip.

**The problem:** Each new prompt describes the character slightly differently, so the same person looks different across the story.

**The outcome:** A character sheet prompt with three full-body views and a close-up in one image, plus one fixed character description reused in every clip prompt.

### Steps

1. Run `cp -r bonus-skills/character-sheet-lite ~/.claude/skills/` after cloning the repo.
2. Ask Claude Code for a character sheet prompt that describes your character once.
3. Generate the sheet in the image model you use and save the result.
4. Paste the identical character description at the start of each clip prompt for that story.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the character-sheet-lite skill from the repo Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill, write an image prompt for a character named <character description> showing three full-body views and one close-up in a single image. Return the prompt and the reusable character description block. Verify the character description is identical in the sheet prompt and in a sample clip prompt.
```

### Caveat

The bonus Lite skill is a limited version, and the README says the full VIP version with complete guides and lookup tables is only available from the author.

## How to create a set of product clips in one consistent style with Cinematic Video Prompt Skill

Repo: [Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill](https://github.com/Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Write several clip prompts for one product that share lighting, grade and mood.

**Who it is for:** A small seller or marketer in Claude Code who needs three or more product clips that look like one campaign.

**The problem:** Separate prompts drift in color, lighting and mood, so the clips do not feel like one product video.

**The outcome:** A set of clip prompts for the same product, each with one camera movement and one shared style, color and mood block.

### Steps

1. Run `git clone https://github.com/Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill.git ~/.claude/skills/cinematic-video-prompt` if not already installed.
2. Ask Claude Code for three clip prompts for your product, such as a ceramic mug, with consistent style.
3. Check that each prompt has one camera movement and the same color grading and mood wording.
4. Generate each clip in your video model and review them side by side.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the cinematic-video-prompt skill from the repo Rylaispirit/cinematic-video-prompt-skill, write three English video prompts for the product <product description>, sharing one style, color grading and mood block, each with a different single camera movement. Return them as three code blocks. Verify that the lighting and grading wording is identical across the three prompts.
```

### Caveat

The README lists product videos as a combo type but gives no product-specific examples, so the shared style block still needs manual tuning for your brand.
