## How to run a full SEO audit from your own Search Console data with Open SEO MCP Skills

Repo: [Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills](https://github.com/Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Get indexation issues, CTR anomalies, decaying pages and quick wins from your real GSC and GA4 data.

**Who it is for:** An SEO lead or site owner who needs a prioritized list of fixes for a site and does not want to rely on scraped rank estimates.

**The problem:** Audits built on estimated positions can point to the wrong pages, and checking Search Console and GA4 by hand takes hours.

**The outcome:** A ranked list of audit findings covering indexation, CTR anomalies, decaying pages and quick wins, based on your connected accounts.

### Steps

1. Run `claude mcp add ryze --transport http https://connector.get-ryze.ai/mcp` to add the Ryze connector (optional in Claude Code, since the plugin bundles it).
2. Run `claude plugin marketplace add Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills`.
3. Run `claude plugin install open-seo-mcp-skills@ryze`.
4. Sign in to Ryze, pick your workspace, and connect your Google Search Console and GA4 accounts.
5. Ask Claude: "run an SEO audit on mysite.com" and review the findings by priority.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the open-seo-mcp-skills seo-audit skill through the Ryze MCP, run a full site audit on <target-domain> covering indexation, CTR anomalies, decaying pages and quick wins. Return a ranked list of findings with the data source for each. Verify that every figure comes from the connected Search Console or GA4 account, not an estimate.
```

### Caveat

The audit reads only the Search Console and GA4 accounts you connect in your Ryze workspace, so results cover only those properties.

## How to find keywords a competitor ranks for that you do not with Open SEO MCP Skills

Repo: [Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills](https://github.com/Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Compare a competitor's keyword footprint with your own Search Console queries to find gaps.

**Who it is for:** A content or SEO manager planning new pages after noticing a competitor takes traffic in a topic area.

**The problem:** Manually comparing two sites' keyword lists is slow, and third-party estimates may not match what your site actually earns.

**The outcome:** A list of competitor keywords missing from your own rankings, with DataForSEO data for the competitor and your Search Console data for your site.

### Steps

1. Run `claude mcp add ryze --transport http https://connector.get-ryze.ai/mcp` to connect the Ryze MCP.
2. Run `claude plugin marketplace add Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills`.
3. Run `claude plugin install open-seo-mcp-skills@ryze`.
4. Ask Claude: "what keywords does competitor.com rank for that I don't?"
5. Sort the gap list by opportunity and pick topics to feed into the content-brief skill.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the open-seo-mcp-skills competitor-gap skill through the Ryze MCP, list keywords that <competitor-domain> ranks for and <target-domain> does not. Return the gap list with the data source for each row, sorted by opportunity. Verify that your-site rankings come from Google Search Console before you call a keyword a gap.
```

### Caveat

Competitor keyword data comes from DataForSEO through the Ryze connector, and your side of the comparison comes only from your connected Search Console account.

## How to see which AI engines send traffic and which pages they cite with Open SEO MCP Skills

Repo: [Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills](https://github.com/Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Report ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude and Gemini referrals from GA4 and the pages they cite.

**Who it is for:** A marketing lead working on GEO who needs to know whether AI answer engines send visitors to the site.

**The problem:** AI visibility is hard to judge from prompt-sampling estimates, and few teams check referral traffic from AI engines directly.

**The outcome:** A report of AI engines that refer traffic to the site, plus the pages those engines cite, based on GA4 AI-referral data.

### Steps

1. Run `claude mcp add ryze --transport http https://connector.get-ryze.ai/mcp` to connect the Ryze MCP.
2. Run `claude plugin marketplace add Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills`.
3. Run `claude plugin install open-seo-mcp-skills@ryze`.
4. Ask Claude: "which AI engines send me traffic and which pages do they cite?"
5. Review the pages that AI engines cite and decide which ones need stronger content.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the open-seo-mcp-skills ai-visibility skill through the Ryze MCP, report which AI engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini) send traffic to <target-domain> and which pages they cite. Return a table of engines, sessions and cited pages from GA4. Verify that the figures come from GA4 AI-referral reports and not from prompt-sampling estimates.
```

### Caveat

The README says the Ryze workspace also tracks brand mentions in AI answers, but this skill's report is based on GA4 AI-referral traffic, so it shows referrals and cited pages only.

## How to find paid queries you already rank for organically with Open SEO MCP Skills

Repo: [Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills](https://github.com/Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Compare Google Ads spend with Search Console rankings to find clicks you could get free.

**Who it is for:** A paid search manager who wants to cut ad spend on terms where the site already ranks well.

**The problem:** Ad budgets often cover queries the site already ranks for organically, and that overlap is hard to see without joining the two data sources.

**The outcome:** A list of queries you pay for on Google Ads that you already rank for in Search Console, so you can review which paid clicks you could get free.

### Steps

1. Run `claude mcp add ryze --transport http https://connector.get-ryze.ai/mcp` to connect the Ryze MCP.
2. Run `claude plugin marketplace add Ryze-AI-Adgent/open-seo-mcp-skills`.
3. Run `claude plugin install open-seo-mcp-skills@ryze`.
4. Connect your Google Ads account in the Ryze workspace alongside Search Console.
5. Ask Claude: "how much am I paying for clicks I'd get free?"

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the open-seo-mcp-skills seo-vs-ads skill through the Ryze MCP, list queries that <target-domain> pays for on Google Ads and already ranks for organically in Google Search Console. Return each query with its ad cost and organic position. Verify that both the ad data and the organic positions come from connected accounts before you recommend any change.
```

### Caveat

The README does not describe how the ad spend and organic position are matched, so review the matched queries before you cut any campaign.

Risk, credentials: This skill needs access to your Google Ads account, so connect only accounts you are allowed to share through your Ryze workspace.
