seo-ops is an open-source Agent Skill that fetches a website like a crawler and produces a pass/fail report on 26 SEO and GEO structural checks, with evidence and no LLM involved.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to check a live site's SEO foundation in one run with SEO Ops

Repo: [tigerless-labs/seo-ops](https://github.com/tigerless-labs/seo-ops) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Give the agent a URL and get a crawler's-eye pass/fail report on 26 structural SEO checks.

**Who it is for:** A marketing or web lead who wants to know whether search engines and AI retrieval can fetch, read, and index a site, without access to its code.

**The problem:** Manual SEO audits are slow and tied to a specific framework, and it is hard to tell which structural problems are blocking crawlers.

**The outcome:** A pass/fail report with evidence for each of the 26 checks, based only on the live HTTP and HTML output of the site.

### Steps

1. Copy the install prompt `Install https://github.com/tigerless-labs/seo-ops as a skill.` into your agent, or run `/plugin marketplace add tigerless-labs/seo-ops` then `/plugin install seo-ops@seo-ops` in Claude Code.
2. Start a new session if the skill does not appear.
3. Type `/seo-ops check example.com` in the agent input box, replacing example.com with the target site.
4. Confirm with the agent that the target is a live site, not a code review, when it asks.
5. Read the red items in the report and the evidence attached to each one.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the tigerless-labs/seo-ops skill, check the SEO foundation of <target-url> as a live site. Return the pass/fail report for the 26 checks with evidence for each red item. Verify that the report lists every check as pass or fail and does not guess at checks it could not run.
```

### Caveat

The checks cover structure and machine-readable signals only, so a passing report does not judge the quality of the content on the page.

## How to turn red SEO items into a P0, P1, P2 fix list with SEO Ops

Repo: [tigerless-labs/seo-ops](https://github.com/tigerless-labs/seo-ops) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Have the agent explain each failed check and rank the fixes so the team knows what to do first.

**Who it is for:** An SEO or web developer who received a failing report and needs a prioritized list for the next sprint.

**The problem:** A long list of failed checks is hard to act on, and teams often fix low-impact items first.

**The outcome:** A ranked fix list grouped as P0, P1, and P2, with an explanation for each red item.

### Steps

1. Run the check first with `/seo-ops check example.com`, replacing example.com with the target site.
2. Ask the agent to group every red item by P0, P1, and P2.
3. Ask the agent to explain how to fix each red item, using the evidence in the report.
4. Copy the ranked list into your ticket tracker and assign owners.
5. Re-run `/seo-ops check example.com` after the fixes to confirm the red items are gone.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the tigerless-labs/seo-ops skill, run the check on <target-url> and group every red item into P0, P1, and P2. For each item, give the fix and point to the evidence in the report. Verify that every red item appears exactly once in the priority list.
```

### Caveat

The P0, P1, and P2 grouping is done by the agent when it explains the report, so review the ranking against your own business priorities before you commit to it.

## How to audit a site before launch, regardless of its framework with SEO Ops

Repo: [tigerless-labs/seo-ops](https://github.com/tigerless-labs/seo-ops) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Test a React, Vue, Next, WordPress, or static site with the same checks before it goes live.

**Who it is for:** A developer or agency lead about to launch or migrate a site who wants an SEO check that does not depend on the framework.

**The problem:** Framework-specific SEO tools may not agree with each other, and a migration can quietly break structural signals search engines rely on.

**The outcome:** A framework-neutral pass/fail report on the staging or live URL, so the same checks run before and after a migration.

### Steps

1. Deploy the site to a URL the checker can reach.
2. Run `/seo-ops check example.com`, replacing example.com with the staging or live URL.
3. Save the report as your baseline before the launch.
4. After the migration, run `/seo-ops check example.com` again on the new URL.
5. Compare the two reports and investigate any check that changed from pass to fail.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the tigerless-labs/seo-ops skill, check <target-url> and save the pass/fail report as a baseline. After the migration, check the new URL with the same skill and list every check whose result changed. Verify that both reports cover the same 26 checks before comparing them.
```

### Caveat

The checker only reads the live HTTP and HTML output, so it can only test a URL that is reachable from where the agent runs.

## How to brief the content team on the inputs SEO needs with SEO Ops

Repo: [tigerless-labs/seo-ops](https://github.com/tigerless-labs/seo-ops) | Difficulty: Beginner | Time: 15 minutes | Basis: From the README

Use the T checklist to tell writers and designers which titles, descriptions, and alt text SEO depends on.

**Who it is for:** A content or SEO manager who needs to hand off SEO requirements to a writing or design team before a new page set is produced.

**The problem:** Content teams often do not know which page elements feed SEO checks, so titles, descriptions, and alt text get missed.

**The outcome:** A short content brief that lists each input SEO needs, with the downstream checks each one feeds.

### Steps

1. Open references/content/content-checklist.md in the repo.
2. Read the T set, which lists the inputs SEO needs from content, such as title, description, H2 outline, image alt, and OG copy.
3. Ask your agent to turn the list into a brief for your writers, one section per content type.
4. Check each item against the C checks it feeds, using references/checklist/checklist.md.
5. Share the brief with the content team before the next production cycle.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Using the tigerless-labs/seo-ops repo, read references/content/content-checklist.md and write a content brief for <content-type> that lists each SEO input, the reason it matters, and the C check it feeds. Verify that every input in the T set appears in the brief and that each one names at least one C check.
```

### Caveat

The T set is a supply checklist for content teams, and the checker script does not verify whether content inputs were actually written.
