Repo: [Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft](https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft) | Use cases: 4 | Page: https://dedupedai.com/use-cases/vincentwei1021-video-talkcraft/

video-talkcraft is an open-source agent skill for Claude Code and Codex that turns a narration script and a finished voiceover into a motion-design explainer video rendered with Remotion.

This file holds every use case of this repo. Each one starts with a "## " heading and ends with its URL.

## How to turn a script and voiceover into a motion explainer video with Video Talkcraft

Repo: [Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft](https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 1 hour | Basis: From the README

Give the agent a narration script and a voiceover file to get a word-synced explainer video.

**Who it is for:** A solo creator or small team making knowledge, product, or news explainer videos who already has a script and a finished voiceover.

**The problem:** Syncing motion graphics, captions, and cuts to each spoken word by hand takes hours of timeline work for every episode.

**The outcome:** A rendered explainer video where motion beats are anchored to the exact spoken words, with word timestamps and a delivered final cut.

### Steps

1. Install the skill with `npx skills add Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft`, or clone the repo and symlink it into `~/.claude/skills/video-talkcraft`.
2. Install the local timestamp dependencies with `pip install zhconv pypinyin sherpa-onnx soundfile numpy` if you want local CPU alignment.
3. Place your script and voiceover file in a project folder, then ask the agent to build the video from them.
4. Let the agent run the eight-step pipeline in SKILL.md, including word timestamp alignment, storyboard, Remotion build, and rendering.
5. Review the delivered cut and approve or request changes before the agent runs a second review pass.

```text
Use the video-talkcraft skill from https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft to turn <script file> and <voiceover file> into a narrated explainer video. Expected output: a rendered video file with motion beats aligned to spoken words. Verify that the word timestamp file matches the script before rendering.
```

### Caveat

The README lists a Node 18+ and Python 3.10+ setup, and the first local CPU alignment downloads a 767MB model, so the first run is slower than later runs.

## How to generate a voiceover with word timestamps from a script with Video Talkcraft

Repo: [Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft](https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Use Fish Audio to produce narration audio and timing data from a JSON sentence list.

**Who it is for:** A creator with no recorded voice who wants a generated narration track that already has timing data for the video build.

**The problem:** Narration audio and matching word timing usually come from separate tools, and the timing has to be re-aligned by hand.

**The outcome:** A WAV narration file, a timestamps JSON file, and a timing file ready for the Remotion project.

### Steps

1. Install the Python dependencies with `pip install requests python-dotenv`, and make sure ffmpeg is installed.
2. Copy `.env.example` to `.env` and set `FISH_AUDIO_API_KEY`. Optionally set `FISH_AUDIO_REFERENCE_ID` to a voice ID from your voice library.
3. Create `script.json` with a sentences list, for example `{"sentences": ["First sentence.", "Second sentence."]}`. (inferred, check the README)
4. Run `python3 scripts/tts_fishaudio.py script.json audio/full.wav audio/timestamps.json --timing-out remotion/src/timing.json` for sentence-by-sentence mode.
5. Listen to the audio before building, because the README says a match result does not confirm pronunciation or word-level accuracy.

```text
Use the video-talkcraft skill from https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft to generate narration audio and word timestamps from <script.json> using Fish Audio. Expected output: audio/full.wav, audio/timestamps.json, and remotion/src/timing.json. Verify that the script and the aligned text match before continuing.
```

### Caveat

The README says the default model is s2.1-pro-free, and its free quota and availability period are set by Fish Audio, not by this repo.

Risk, credentials: The workflow requires a FISH_AUDIO_API_KEY in a local .env file, so keep that file out of version control and out of shared folders.

## How to copy one of 108 motion cards into your own Remotion project with Video Talkcraft

Repo: [Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft](https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 30 minutes | Basis: From the README

Pick a self-contained card from the gallery and drop its tsx file into your own video code.

**Who it is for:** A developer or designer building a Remotion video who needs a tested animated text, data, or evidence shot without writing the motion from scratch.

**The problem:** Writing motion recipes from scratch for each kind of shot, such as dynamic captions or data reveals, is slow and easy to get wrong.

**The outcome:** A single tsx file from the card library placed into your Remotion project, ready to adjust and render.

### Steps

1. Open the gallery with `open gallery/index.html` to preview the 108 cards on one page.
2. Search by name or keyword and note the card you want, then read its intent, parameters, and known pitfalls in references/taxonomy.md.
3. Copy the chosen file from `template/cards/` into the `src` folder of your Remotion project. (inferred, check the README)
4. Import the card into your composition and adjust its text, color, and position parameters.
5. Render a single frame or short clip to check the result before using it in the full video.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Use the video-talkcraft skill from https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft to pick a motion card that fits <shot description> and copy its tsx file from template/cards/ into <Remotion project path>. Expected output: an imported card component that renders in the project. Verify that the card's known pitfalls and layout checks are followed.
```

### Caveat

The README says the cards are self-contained Remotion tsx files and expects you to have a Remotion project, so the card alone will not render without one.

## How to export one motion clip as a transparent overlay for another editor with Video Talkcraft

Repo: [Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft](https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft) | Difficulty: Intermediate | Time: 45 minutes | Basis: From the README

Right-click a clip in the workbench timeline to export it with alpha for Jianying, PR, or AE.

**Who it is for:** An editor who finished a motion clip in the workbench and needs to layer it over footage in another editing app.

**The problem:** Motion graphics rendered as a flat video include a background, which blocks layering over live footage in other editors.

**The outcome:** A transparent MOV (ProRes 4444) or WebM (VP9 alpha) file containing only the chosen clip.

### Steps

1. Open the workbench as described in workbench/GUIDE.md after the video has been built.
2. Right-click the motion clip you want on the multi-track timeline.
3. Choose the transparent export option to produce a MOV ProRes 4444 or WebM VP9 alpha file.
4. Import the exported file into Jianying, Premiere, or After Effects as an overlay layer.
5. Check that the background is transparent and the overlay lines up with the footage in the target editor.

### Prompt to paste into your agent

```text
Use the video-talkcraft skill from https://github.com/Vincentwei1021/video-talkcraft to export the motion clip <clip name> from the workbench as a transparent overlay. Expected output: one MOV or WebM file with alpha only for that clip. Verify that the background is transparent before handing the file to an editor.
```

### Caveat

The README says the transparent export strips the card's background layer and any person silhouette placeholder, so check any clip that relied on those before relying on the overlay.
