ABOUT

About Deduped

An independent publication about open-source AI repos. Updated daily.

Who runs Deduped

Deduped is an independent publication. It is not owned by, paid by or affiliated with any of the repos, companies or platforms it covers, and nobody pays to be listed. It is published as Deduped, not under a personal byline.

We cover open-source AI repos on GitHub: which ones are gaining attention, how to use them, and what people have built with them. Alongside that we publish a short daily brief of AI news, with each story told once.

How pages are made

Pages on Deduped are written with AI assistance from public sources, then checked by automated rules before they are published.

  • Repo and use case pages are grounded in each repo's own README. Steps, requirements and agent prompts come from what the README says. A step we had to infer is marked "(inferred)" so you can check it before you run it.
  • What People Are Building entries come from real public posts where someone built, benchmarked or explained something with a repo. Each entry links to the original post, and the post belongs to its author.
  • News stories are summaries of what several outlets reported, with a list of linked sources at the end of each story page.

Unless a page says otherwise, we did not install or run the repo ourselves. Use cases can be wrong or go out of date when a repo changes, so check the repo before you rely on a step. The disclaimer has the full terms.

Data sources

  • The GitHub API: repo details, star counts and README text.
  • Public posts on X, Hacker News, Reddit, DEV, GitHub, YouTube and the open web, for What People Are Building.
  • AI news feeds and newsletters, for the daily brief. How it works shows how many posts we read each day and how we merge them.

How often it updates

The site is rebuilt every day: new hot repos, new use cases, new build posts and the day's news. Star counts and dates on a page are as of its last rebuild. The email goes out every Monday with the week's hottest repos and top news.
