How Deduped works

The same AI news shows up in dozens of places. We read all of it and send each story once.

One free email a day with the top AI stories, ranked, each told once. Sent every morning.

One day, in numbers

On Tuesday, October 20, 2026 we read 4,167 posts and emails about AI. After dropping items that were not news or not about AI, 3,595 story mentions were left. Many of them described the same event, so we merged them into 2,401 distinct stories. 310 of those arrived more than once; the most repeated one arrived 90 times. The email had the top 10.

The four steps

1. Read. Every day we collect what our AI feeds and newsletters published. A newsletter that covers five stories counts as five mentions.

2. Merge. We compare mentions by meaning, not by headline wording. Mentions of the same event become one story, however many places reported it.

3. Rank. Each story is scored on impact, how new it is, how many independent places covered it, the quality of its sources and how useful it is to act on.

4. Write. The top stories become one short email, with our take on the lead story. You read each story once.
