How to let a coding agent call Reverify's checks through MCP with Reverify

Connect Claude Code or Cursor to Reverify's MCP tools so the agent verifies its own claims.

Authorization notice. Reverify is dual-use. Only use it on software, sites and systems you own or have explicit permission to test.

Reverse engineering. Use the MCP tools only on binaries you are authorized to analyze, as the README requires.

Who it is forA developer using Claude Code or Cursor who wants the agent to check its binary-analysis claims with tools instead of trusting its own output.

The problemAgents assert facts about binaries in chat with no check, and they lose verified state when their context is reset.

The outcomeThe agent calls re_verify_claim for each claim and re_ledger after a reset, so only grounded results are reused.

What you need first

  • Python installed
  • Install with pip install reverify
  • A binary or source file you are authorized to analyze

Steps

  1. Run pip install reverify to install the CLI and MCP server.
  2. Add the Reverify MCP server to your agent's MCP configuration, following your agent's MCP setup steps. (inferred, check the README)
  3. Ask the agent to verify each binary claim through re_verify_claim.
  4. After the host compacts or clears context, ask the agent to call re_ledger and continue from the returned facts.

Prompt for your agent

Using the reverify MCP server from the repo 2akouwu/reverify, verify each claim about <target binary> with re_verify_claim and recover prior grounded facts with re_ledger after any context reset. Report which claims were VERIFIED and which were REFUTED.

Caveat. The README names the MCP server and its tools but does not give the exact MCP configuration for each agent, so the setup step is inferred.
