How to write a machine page by hand from the template with Machine Skill

Copy the template and fill four sections yourself when no agent is available.

Who it is forA developer who wants a custom machine page and prefers to write the content without an AI agent.

The problemSome teams cannot run an agent in their environment but still want the same kit of studio, materials and solver layout.

The outcomeA hand-filled HTML page built on the same runtime as the generated machines.

What you need first

  • Claude Code, or another Agent Skills host such as Codex or Cursor, to build machines
  • A browser with WebGL 2 to run the generated pages
  • Node 18+, Playwright and ffmpeg, only if you want to record films or stills

Steps

  1. Clone the repo with git clone https://github.com/AirsupHQ/machine-skill.git into a working folder.
  2. Copy kit/template.html to a new file for your machine.
  3. Fill the four sections of the template by hand with the geometry, materials, solver and modes.
  4. Open the new file in a browser to check that it loads the inlined runtime. (inferred, check the README)
  5. Run node scripts/shot.mjs on the page to take screenshots and check the frame rate and triangle count. (inferred, check the README)

Prompt for your agent

Using the repo AirsupHQ/machine-skill, copy kit/template.html into a new page for <machine description> and fill its four sections by hand. The expected output is one HTML file that opens in a WebGL 2 browser. Verify that the page loads the kit runtime without errors in the browser console.

Caveat. The README gives no step by step guide for filling the template, so the four sections must be filled from the kit files and SKILL.md.
