How to render a product demo video from React code with Agentic Product Demo

Install the repo and render the included 16-second demo as an mp4 without a screen recording.

Who it is forA developer or founder who needs a product demo video for a landing page or launch and has no screen recorder footage they want to use.

The problemScreen recordings of a real app show every state change as a jump between frames, which looks unpolished.

The outcomeAn mp4 and poster frame in out/, produced from a composition where every motion is derived from the frame number.

What you need first

  • Node 20 or later
  • npm
  • A local clone of the repo
  • Roughly 100 MB free for the headless Chromium download on first render
  • Your product's stylesheet or UI source, if you want the demo to match your product

Steps

  1. Run npm install
  2. Run npm run studio and open localhost:3000 to preview the example composition
  3. Run npm run preview to get stills on every beat and a contact sheet
  4. Run npm run render to render, stitch and gate the result into out/

Prompt for your agent

In the repo Alexwtlf/agentic-product-demo, run `npm install` then `npm run render`. Confirm the output mp4 and poster frame are written to out/ and that the frame gate passes. Report the output file paths.

Caveat. The frame gate measures two numbers per frame and cannot judge whether the picture looks right, so look at the preview stills before trusting a render.
