Credentials. The bearer token lets the agent read and write cluster resources.
Who it is forAn on-call engineer who wants to triage a failing deployment by asking questions.
The problemRemembering kubectl incantations under pressure slows incident response.
The outcomeNatural-language cluster operations through your MCP client.
What you need first
- A Kubernetes cluster and kubectl, or Docker
- An MCP client such as Claude Code for agent access
Steps
- Run AliangBoard and create an access token
- Add it with
claude mcp add --transport http aliangboard {HOST}/mcpand an Authorization header - Ask the agent to show logs for a failing pod
- Approve any write action carefully
Prompt for your agent
Through the aliangboard MCP server, find pods in <namespace> that are not Ready, show their last 50 log lines, and propose a fix. Do not change resources without my confirmation.
Caveat. The MCP server can write and operate the cluster, so scope its token before connecting an agent.
Use this in your AI agent
Ask your agent
Using the Deduped MCP, get the setup steps for aliang-one/aliangboard and "Ask an agent to read logs and roll back releases"
Add Deduped to Claude Code once
claude mcp add --transport http deduped https://dedupedai.com/mcp
