How to run an offline three-seat candidate decision demo with Rulora

See submission, revision, freezing and restricted selection work together in one small program.

Short answer: Install Node.js 20 or newer; then run git clone https://github.com/Buffalo2024/Rulora.git; run cd Rulora. All steps.

Who it is forA developer evaluating how Rulora's controls combine in a multi-agent flow before adopting any part of it.

The problemReading separate control components does not show how they behave together across several agents.

The outcomeYou see one seat rejected then accepted, one accepted first time, one stopped for manual handling, and two candidates frozen for review.

What you need first

  • Node.js 20 or newer
  • git, or the source ZIP from the repo page
  • A terminal

Steps

  1. Install Node.js 20 or newer.
  2. Run git clone https://github.com/Buffalo2024/Rulora.git
  3. Run cd Rulora
  4. Run npm ci --ignore-scripts
  5. Run node examples/collective-decision/examples/controlled-collective.js

Prompt for your agent

In the Rulora repo at <target-dir>, install with `npm ci --ignore-scripts` and run `node examples/collective-decision/examples/controlled-collective.js`. Report the status of seat-a, seat-b and seat-c and which candidates were frozen. Verify that seat-c was marked for manual handling after two failures.

Caveat. The demo uses synthetic candidates and no model calls, so it shows control behavior only and does not show that any business conclusion is accurate.
