Credentials. An MCP connection gives the agent access to your calendar data, so only connect it to agents and hosts you trust.
Who it is forA founder or operator who already uses an AI agent for daily planning and wants it to see open slots and bookings.
The problemAn agent cannot answer 'when am I free next week' without a live connection to the calendar it is supposed to reason about.
The outcomeAn MCP-connected agent that can query your Punctual calendar and report availability.
What you need first
- Node 20+
- A Cloudflare account
- Command-line access to run wrangler
- Your own Google or Microsoft OAuth app, only if you want calendar sync
Steps
- Deploy your Punctual instance using
npx punctual-sh initor the manual steps in the README. - Locate the MCP endpoint of your deployed Worker in docs/self-hosting.md or the Worker URL printed by the deploy. (inferred, check the README)
- Add that MCP endpoint to your agent's MCP server settings. (inferred, check the README)
- Ask the agent to list open slots for the next five working days and check that the times match the booking page.
Prompt for your agent
Using the CCCrafts/punctual repo, connect an MCP client to the deployed Punctual Worker at <worker-url> and list the tools it exposes. Return the tool names and one sample availability result, and verify the times against the public booking page.
Caveat. The README mentions a built-in MCP server but does not list its tools or how to authenticate, so verify both in the repo before relying on them.
