Who it is forA finance student or hobby investor who wants institutional style analytics without a terminal subscription.

The outcomeA native desktop app with DCF, portfolio optimisation, VaR and Sharpe, derivatives pricing and fixed income tools.
What you need first
- Windows x64, Linux x64 or macOS on Apple Silicon
- Your own LLM API key (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, Groq, DeepSeek, OpenRouter) or Ollama for the AI agents
- Optional API keys for paid data connectors
Steps
- Download the installer for your platform from the latest GitHub release
- On Debian or Ubuntu run
sudo apt install ./FinceptTerminal-*.deb; on Fedorasudo dnf install ./FinceptTerminal-*.rpm - Launch Fincept Terminal and open the analytics modules
- Connect free public feeds such as FRED, World Bank or Yahoo Finance first, then add your own keys
Prompt for your agent
Install Fincept-Corporation/FinceptTerminal from the latest release on <platform>, run a DCF on <ticker> with the built-in analytics, and list which data connectors it needed and which ones required my own key.
Caveat. The open build is AGPL-3.0 and ships monthly releases, while the README promotes a paid Enterprise edition. Not financial advice: paper trade first, and remember you can lose money.
