Remote script. The install command pulls and installs the skill from the GitHub repo, so review SKILL.md before running it.

Who it is forA teacher or science communicator preparing a lesson, talk or article who needs an accurate, sourced diagram of a mechanism such as a receptor, synapse or drug action.

The problemStatic diagrams cannot show how a mechanism changes, and animated graphics often carry numbers with no sources.

The outcomeA standalone HTML page in dark and light themes, with a mechanism toggle, a live readout and a sources block with a link for each displayed number.

What you need first

  • Claude Code installed
  • Node.js 20.10 or later
  • Chrome or Chromium for the capture and verification scripts
  • ffmpeg only if you use scripts/make-demo.mjs

Steps

  1. Run npx skills add Garinmckayl/anima -g -a claude-code to install the skill.
  2. In Claude Code, name the biological subject, the mechanism to explain, the audience and the output format.
  3. Send a request such as /anima show how cocaine and amphetamine act differently at the dopamine transporter, with a drug selector and sourced mechanisms; standalone HTML.
  4. Read the sources block and the simplifications list, and confirm the educational-use note is present.
  5. Open the page in both themes and at phone width before sharing it.

Prompt for your agent

In the Garinmckayl/anima repo, use the /anima Claude Code skill to build a standalone HTML figure of <biology subject and mechanism>, with a toggle that changes the mechanism and a sources block. Expected output: one standalone HTML page in dark and light themes. Verify that every displayed number has a cited source with species, conditions and units, and that the page carries the educational-not-medical-advice note.

Caveat. Figures are educational only and show mechanism, not doses or advice, and a 2D or isometric illustration cannot capture every spatial relationship.
