Who it is forA developer who wants to compare how different agents solve the same task without them overwriting each other.
The problemRunning agents side by side usually means manual terminals and branches that collide.
The outcomeSeveral agents working one prompt in separate git worktrees, addressable together as a group.
What you need first
- A terminal with true color support; Kitty graphics and sixel support recommended (Ghostty, Kitty, WezTerm)
- Homebrew, Go, Docker, Nix, AUR or a release binary to install
- Go 1.26.8 or newer to build from source
- A coding agent CLI such as Claude Code or Codex to run in panes
Steps
- Install Tuios and run
tuios integration installso the agents report their state - Run
tuios fanwith your prompt to start it in several agents, mixed harnesses allowed, each in its own git worktree - Use
tuios start-agentwhen you want one helper beside you, in its TUI or headless over ACP or the Codex app-server - Address a whole group with selectors such as
group:fan/retry needs:you - Read each agent's changes in Review and send notes back
Prompt for your agent
With tuios from Gaurav-Gosain/tuios, use `tuios fan` to run this prompt in two different agents, each in its own git worktree: <prompt>. Tell me where each worktree is and when each agent finishes, and do not merge anything.
Caveat. Fleets write into git worktrees of your repo, so start from a clean branch and review each result before merging.
