How to plan an FDE skills path from the reading list with Awesome Fde Resources

Turn the Getting started list into an ordered four-week study plan for a new FDE.

Authorization notice. Awesome Fde Resources is dual-use. Only use it on software, sites and systems you own or have explicit permission to test.

Who it is forA new Forward Deployed Engineer or a hiring manager onboarding someone into customer delivery work.

The problemThe Getting started list has many entries across topics and no suggested order.

The outcomeA four-week reading plan with one resource per week and a stated goal for each.

What you need first

  • A web browser and GitHub access
  • A target customer workflow or AI system to focus on
  • Setup for each linked tool, which the README does not describe

Steps

  1. Open the Getting started section and note the entry for each topic.
  2. Group the entries into delivery, agents, MLOps, and security.
  3. Assign one resource per week over four weeks, starting with the FDE-specific guides.
  4. Add a short check question at the end of each week.

Prompt for your agent

Read the Getting started section of global-fde/awesome-fde-resources and build a four-week study plan for a <role or background>. Output one resource per week with its link and a check question. Verify every link comes from that section.

Caveat. Some entries are Chinese-language or full courses with their own time demands, so check language and length before assigning them.
