Who it is forCreator with a recorded talk or podcast clip who needs captions that look designed

The problemAuto-captions are plain, and styling them in an editor eats an evening.

The outcomeThe original footage with verbatim captions, or captions embedded behind the subject, rendered as a new MP4.

What you need first

  • Node.js 22 or newer
  • FFmpeg installed locally
  • A coding agent that supports skills (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, Gemini CLI, OpenCode and others)
  • No GPU or paid API key is stated in the README for local rendering

Steps

  1. Install the skills with: npx skills add heygen-com/hyperframes
  2. Pick Core Skills and restart your agent.
  3. Run /embedded-captions and point it at your video file.
  4. Pick a caption style (verbatim rail, embedded climax, or pure-cinematic embed).
  5. Read through the rendered video and fix any misheard words.

Prompt for your agent

Use /embedded-captions from heygen-com/hyperframes on <video file> with a verbatim rail style. Verify the captions match what is said word for word.

Caveat. Caption accuracy depends on transcription of your audio, so noisy audio or names and jargon will need a manual proofread.

About hyperframes
