How to preview a web UI and send visual feedback to the agent with Bettercode

Check your project's live previews across screen sizes, select a page element, and send feedback to the agent.

Who it is forA front-end developer whose agent-built page looks wrong on some screens and who wants to point at the problem instead of describing it.

The problemDescribing layout bugs in text takes many rounds, and the agent often fixes the wrong element.

The outcomeThe agent receives feedback tied to a specific element on the live page, which shortens the fix cycle.

What you need first

  • A 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 PC, an Apple Silicon or Intel Mac, or an x64 Linux machine
  • An account with at least one supported AI provider, connected in Settings → Providers
  • A local project folder you can open in the app
  • Willingness to run an unsigned beta build and save work often

Steps

  1. Open your project in BetterC0de and switch to Canvas mode.
  2. Open the live preview of the page you are building.
  3. Change the view to different screen sizes to see how the layout behaves.
  4. Select the page element that looks wrong.
  5. Send visual feedback about that element to your agent and check the next result.

Prompt for your agent

In BetterC0de Canvas mode, open the live preview of <project-path> and select the element at <element-description>. Send feedback describing the layout problem to the connected agent and report the file the agent changed. Verify the change by reloading the preview at two screen sizes.

Caveat. The README does not say which frameworks the live preview supports, so test it on your own project before relying on it.
