Run the daemon and create named sessions from the shell for your own agent harness.

Who it is forA developer building a custom agent harness on macOS.

The problemCustom harnesses need an isolated screen without manual setup.

The outcomeNamed sessions created from scripts that agents can target.

What you need first

  • macOS
  • An MCP client such as Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or Claude Desktop

Steps

  1. Build from source with git clone https://github.com/ParthJadhav/SpaceO.git and make install
  2. Run setup for permissions and MCP configuration
  3. Start the daemon with spaceo daemon &
  4. Create a session with spaceo session create --session try --export

Prompt for your agent

From the shell, start `spaceo daemon &`, create a session named <name> with --export, and launch <app> into it. Confirm the app rendered on the virtual display, not the physical one.

Caveat. Setup must grant macOS permissions before sessions can operate apps.
