The outcomeA running development build of the studio and a passing local test run.
What you need first
- macOS on Apple silicon or Intel, or Linux on x86_64 or aarch64 with glibc 2.35 or newer
- One supported coding agent (Claude Code or Codex CLI, among others) installed and signed in on this computer
- Remocn Studio downloaded from the GitHub releases page
Steps
- Install Bun 1.4, the Rust toolchain and the Tauri prerequisites for your platform.
- Run
git clone https://github.com/Remocn/remocn-studio.gitand thencd remocn-studio. - Run
bun install, and optionallycp .env.example .envif you want stock photos through a Pexels key. - Run
bun tauri devto start the app in development mode. - Run
bun run testto execute the test suite before you make changes.
Prompt for your agent
Clone the repo https://github.com/Remocn/remocn-studio into <target folder>, install dependencies with bun, and run the test suite. Expect bun run test to finish with a pass or a list of failing tests. Verify the result by reporting the exact test summary before editing any file.
Caveat. The README gives Linux package lists for Arch, Debian and Ubuntu, and Fedora only, so other distributions need their own equivalents.
