Credentials. Provider API keys pasted or imported here give the agents paid access, so use keys scoped to this work and do not share the canvas session.
Who it is forA team lead who has provider accounts and needs paid models for larger pipeline runs than the free tier allows.
The problemPaid models will not run until a key is connected, and keys already held by the opencode CLI are not visible to the server until imported.
The outcomePaid models available to nodes, with keys taking effect without a server restart.
What you need first
- Bun 1.3 or newer (check with `bun --version`)
- Git
- A local repo the agents are allowed to edit, set through OPENFLOW_PROJECT
- Optional: a provider API key for paid models, or use the free `-free` models with no key
Steps
- Start OpenFlow with
FLOW_MANAGE_SERVER=1 bun openflow.tsand open http://localhost:5174. - Click "api keys" in the titlebar, pick a provider, and paste its key in the two-step connect dialog.
- If keys already exist in the opencode CLI, run
opencode providers loginand import them from the same panel, because the server does not read auth.json for its model catalog otherwise. - Use the test button beside a paid model on a node to confirm it answers before a full run.
Prompt for your agent
Using the OpenFlow repo at https://github.com/SeeRay11/OpenFlow, start the canvas, connect a provider key through the "api keys" panel, and assign one paid model to a node in a planner, architect and coder pipeline. Test the model with the test button and report the provider used. Verify that the model appears as available to the node without restarting the server.
Caveat. A paid model needs a connected key, and a fresh install with no key cannot spend money.
