How to give Claude Code and Codex one shared memory server with Tencent DB Agent Memory

What you need first

  • Git and a bash-compatible shell
  • Two sets of LLM API parameters for the memory group and the proxy group, filled into .env
  • A local machine that can run the three services (memory-core, memory-hub, proxy)
  • An agent client that accepts a custom base URL, such as Claude Code or Codex

Steps

  1. Run git clone https://github.com/TencentCloud/TencentDB-Agent-Memory.git and then cd TencentDB-Agent-Memory/deploy/global-images
  2. Run cp .env.example .env, then open .env and fill in the two sets of LLM parameters (memory group and proxy group)
  3. Run ./start-all.sh and wait for it to finish; it prints a one-liner to paste into Claude
  4. Open http://localhost:8125 to confirm the panel loads
  5. Follow the Proxy setup for Claude Code or Codex in INSTALL.md by pointing the agent base URL to the Proxy
