Credentials. Reading a private GitHub or GitLab PR or MR may require access to that service, and the README does not describe how Reslop authenticates.
Who it is forA reviewer who has a PR or MR to check and prefers to read the diff and write findings in the terminal.
The problemReviewing in a browser tab splits attention between the diff and the notes that should drive fixes.
The outcomeThe PR or MR diff open in Reslop, with your findings written to the local plan.
What you need first
- Node.js >=18.15.0 and npm
- git installed, with the repository you want to review cloned locally
- Windows Terminal if you are on Windows
- An ACP-capable agent command on PATH, such as claude-agent-acp or codex-acp, if you want to run a plan in an agent
Steps
- Run
npm i -g resloponce to install the tool. - Run
reslop https://github.com/metarhia/metacom/pull/555as an example, replacing the URL with your own GitHub PR or GitLab MR link. - Read the changes in the diff screen and leave findings and backlog items.
- Open the saved review in
.plan/to confirm your findings were written.
Prompt for your agent
Using reslop in the repository at <repo-path>, open the pull request at <PR-URL> and list every finding saved to the newest .plan/ file. Report the count of findings and the file path. Verify that each finding names a file and line from the PR diff.
Caveat. The README gives the PR and MR form of the command, but it does not say whether private repositories are supported without extra setup.
