Who it is forCurious learner or teacher who wants to see how a real machine works after reading a trending post
The problemText explanations of engines, locks and other mechanisms are hard to picture.
The outcomeA standalone interactive HTML page showing the machine in cutaway, with parts you can inspect and a live readout.
What you need first
- An agent that supports Agent Skills: Claude Code, Antigravity, OpenCode, Codex or MiniMax Code
- Node.js 20.10 or later (the skills CLI itself may need a newer Node, 22.20 or later for version 1.7.1)
- Model usage costs from your agent account; the kit has no extra API keys or npm dependencies
- A browser to open the finished HTML pages (WebGL for the effects layer)
Steps
- Install the skill: npx skills add wheresryan22/anatomy -g -a claude-code
- Open Claude Code in an empty folder.
- Run: /anatomy explain how a door lock works, interactive
- Open the generated HTML page in your browser and hover or click the parts.
Prompt for your agent
Use the anatomy skill from wheresryan22/anatomy to build an interactive isometric figure explaining how <machine, e.g. a turbofan engine> works. Save it as a standalone HTML page, then check that hovering a part updates the live readout.
Caveat. Long runs are reported, so expect around half an hour for a detailed figure, and the model's idea of how the machine works is not an engineering reference.
About anatomy
An agent skill that builds interactive illustrations of machines and complex systems to explain an idea. Part of this week's top 10 repos: ranked #4 on Repo Radar. View wheresryan22/anatomy on GitHub.
More with anatomy
- Read and sandbox a brand new skill before you install it Follow the habit seen in the field of checking a fresh repo's scripts before running an unknown skill.
- Publish an interactive explainer of how a network works Turn a technical flow, like a message hopping across a radio mesh, into an animated page people can explore.
- Show a client how a process works with a 3D figure Replace a long written explanation with a rotatable, clickable figure of the process.
- Draw a teardown of a product from its public specs Describe a vehicle or device and its spec numbers, and get an exploded isometric figure with live values.
- Give a hobby app an isometric machine-style interface Use the skill's look to design the interface of a small control panel, like a web remote.
- Export an explainer figure as SVG or React components Generate a figure once and ship it as a lone SVG file or React and Next.js components.
- Build a figure with a dial or part that turns in 3D Try the beta 3D mode to get a dial or turntable you can drag and spin.
- Explain a software concept as a working physical object Describe a concept like a cache key or rate limiter and get a figure built as a mechanism that behaves the same way.
- Add live fire, water or light effects to a figure Ask for a figure that needs exhaust, ripples or glow and get WebGL effects inside the isometric drawing.
