3 use cases

  • Generate short videos locally on your own GPU

Install, pull the H3 weights and run a text prompt to an MP4, Ollama style.

    View prompt
Install agent-next/video-agent v0.1.0, run `open-video status`, then generate <prompt> with `open-video run` for 8 seconds. Report the output path and confirm the MP4 plays and matches the requested duration.
  • Plan and validate a video prompt without spending GPU time

Use dry-run to plan and validate a prompt against H3 constraints before you render.

    View prompt
With agent-next/video-agent, dry-run <prompt> using `--dry-run` and report any validation errors. Confirm no GPU job was started.
  • Let a coding agent write, check and render a video

Point your agent at the h3-video skill so it crafts the 3-field prompt, validates it, generates and reviews.

    View prompt
Load the skill/h3-video/SKILL.md skill from agent-next/video-agent and generate a clip of <concept>. Return the prompt you used and confirm it passed validation before rendering.

Quick start with Video Agent

  1. Check you have what it needs: Linux with an NVIDIA GPU (WSL2 on Windows); About 54 GB of disk for H3 weights; 12 GiB or more VRAM for the supported INT8 tiers.
  2. Open agent-next/video-agent on GitHub and read the README and license.
  3. Clone the release with git clone --depth 1 --branch v0.1.0 https://github.com/agent-next/video-agent
  4. Install the engine and weights with bash scripts/install.sh
  5. Check health with open-video status
  6. Generate with open-video run "waves at sunset, golden hour" --duration 10 --model h3 --output out.mp4

These steps come from our top use case, Generate short videos locally on your own GPU, which also has a copy-paste agent prompt.
