How to run cited deep research and turn it into a report with Genspark Claw

Install super-research and spark-report so your agent researches a question and writes a cited page.

Who it is forAn analyst or founder who needs a sourced answer on a topic and runs OpenClaw or Hermes as a personal agent.

The problemWriting a research prompt, checking sources, and formatting the result into a shareable report takes hours of manual steps.

The outcomeYour agent returns a fully cited research report with an executive summary, tables, and next steps.

What you need first

  • Node.js 18 or newer, installed from nodejs.org/en/download
  • A terminal and npm (npm is used by the one-line install)
  • A Genspark Claw, OpenClaw, or Hermes agent, or Claude Code or Cursor, to load the skills into
  • On macOS, Apple's command line tools (xcode-select --install) for git and npm

Steps

  1. Run mkdir -p 'gensparkclaw' && cd 'gensparkclaw' && npm install github:breakstageaxe61/genspark-claw
  2. Run npx genspark-claw doctor and confirm the checks pass
  3. Run npx genspark-claw install all --target openclaw (use npx genspark-claw install all --target hermes for Hermes)
  4. Restart the OpenClaw gateway or start a new session, then invoke /super-research with your question
  5. Ask the agent to pass the research through spark-report to produce the final report

Prompt for your agent

Using the genspark-claw repo at github.com/breakstageaxe61/genspark-claw, install the super-research and spark-report skills into <target-runtime> and run super-research on the question: <research-question>. Expected output: a cited report with an executive summary, inline citations, and next steps produced via spark-report. Verify that every claim in the report has a citation before reporting success.

Caveat. The skills are instruction files that run inside your agent runtime, so the quality and sources of the output depend on that runtime's own tools and access.
