Who it is forA developer or content maker who wants to add a new comparison video by hand and keep the shared DESIGN.md layout.
The problemEach video is a separate HyperFrames project, so a new topic needs its own folder, brief, voiceover and checks.
The outcomeA new project in videos/ with its own BRIEF.md, generated voiceover files and a passing check run.
What you need first
- Node.js 18 or newer
- FFmpeg and FFprobe available in PATH
- One TTS provider: VieNeu TTS (needs CIT Voice Studio running locally), Edge TTS (no API key), or Vbee TTS (needs App ID and Access Token)
- Optional: an AI coding agent such as Claude Code, Cursor or Codex to run the create-video skill
Steps
- Create a new folder under videos/ and run
npx hyperframes@latest initinside it. - Copy the HTML, CSS and timeline from videos/thien-thach-vs-sao-bang and change only the content, icons and audio for the new topic.
- Write a BRIEF.md for the video with the topic, the comparison angle and the script.
- Run
node scripts/generate-vo.mjsin the new project folder. - Run
npm run checkbefore you treat the video as finished.
Prompt for your agent
In the auto-compare-video repo, copy the project videos/thien-thach-vs-sao-bang into a new folder for the topic <new topic>, keep the 3-zone layout from DESIGN.md, and write BRIEF.md. Expected output: the new project folder with a generated assets/vo/durations.json. Verify that npm run check passes in the new folder.
Caveat. The README asks you to keep the 3-zone layout in DESIGN.md unchanged, so only content, icons and audio should differ between videos.
