Who it is forA solo marketer who wants their own SEO tool but does not want to run a VPS.
The problemSelf-hosting usually means a server to patch and keep online.
The outcomeOpenSEO running on your own Cloudflare account, with Cloudflare Access in front if you want it locked down.
What you need first
- A DataForSEO API key (you pay DataForSEO per request when self hosting)
- Docker on your own server or computer, or a Cloudflare account (works on the free plan)
- Optional: Claude Code, Codex or ChatGPT for the MCP server and Agent Skills
Steps
- Follow docs/SELF_HOSTING_CLOUDFLARE.md; one deploy command puts OpenSEO on your Cloudflare account
- Add your DataForSEO API key
- Optionally put Cloudflare Access in front so Cloudflare checks every request first
- Set up rank tracking for your main keywords and check AI Visibility for your brand
Prompt for your agent
Deploy every-app/open-seo to my Cloudflare account following docs/SELF_HOSTING_CLOUDFLARE.md, put Cloudflare Access in front of it, add my DataForSEO key and start rank tracking for <keywords>.
Caveat. This card is written from the every-app/open-seo README, not from a test run by Deduped. Before you start, make sure you have a DataForSEO API key. Check the repo for newer instructions before you rely on these steps.
Use this in your AI agent
Ask your agent
Using the Deduped MCP, get the setup steps for every-app/open-seo and "Deploy OpenSEO to your own Cloudflare account with no server"
