Remote script. Each automatic fix is a new script that runs in your scene, so save the .blend file before letting the loop run several times.
Who it is forA Blender user whose first attempt at a prompt produced an error and who wants it fixed without debugging the Python.
The problemA failed bpy script leaves the scene half-built and the error message is hard to read for non-programmers.
The outcomeA corrected script that runs in the scene after the agent reads the error log.
What you need first
- Blender with add-on installation (Edit > Preferences > Add-ons > Install)
- The add-on zip downloaded from the project's Releases page
- Internet access for the one-time OpenCode download (about 80 MB)
- An API key for OpenAI, OpenRouter, Anthropic, Groq, or DeepSeek, or a local Ollama install
Steps
- Send a prompt in the AI Copilot chat and wait for the first run.
- If the run fails, leave the error in place and wait for the add-on to send the log to the agent.
- Watch the chat for the agent's corrected script and its automatic re-run.
- If the problem remains, send a message asking for the full python script again.
- Open server.log in the add-on data folder if the server itself will not start.
Prompt for your agent
In hitkeeen/blender-ai-addon, send a prompt that is expected to need repair and confirm the Auto-fix loop returns a corrected python block. Expected output: a corrected script that runs without error in the Blender scene. Verify the final run in the add-on reports success and check server.log if the server failed to start.
Caveat. The README says a common cause of server startup failure is a wrong API key, so check the key before assuming the agent code is at fault.
