Authorization notice. Humanize is dual-use. Only use it on software, sites and systems you own or have explicit permission to test.
Who it is forA developer evaluating Humanize who does not want to install a tool permanently yet.
The problemInstalling a new agent tool just to test it adds cleanup work if it does not fit the workflow.
The outcomeThe terminal interface opens in a repository from a cached copy, and the permanent install stays optional.
What you need first
- Python 3.12 or newer
- uv installed (https://docs.astral.sh/uv/)
- A coding agent CLI you are signed in to, such as Claude Code or Codex
- A scratch repository to run agents in, because agents run with approvals bypassed
Steps
- Install uv and confirm you are signed in to Claude Code or Codex.
- Go to a scratch repository, not your main working copy.
- Run
uvx hmz@latestto open the terminal interface from the newest release. - Explore the interface, then quit it.
- Run
uv tool install hmzonly if you decide to keep it.
Prompt for your agent
Using the humanize repo (hmz), run `uvx hmz@latest` inside <scratch-repo-path>. Report the first screen or prompt the interface shows, as plain text. Verify that the interface opened from the scratch repository and did not change any files in <scratch-repo-path>.
Caveat. Because agents run with approvals bypassed, test the interface only in a scratch repository, not one with work you cannot lose.
