How to build a Godot 4 game with engine checks with Noobi AI

Have Noobi AI build a Godot 4 project, then import, validate and export it through the host.

Who it is forA game developer who already uses Godot 4 and wants the Agent to scaffold and check a Godot project.

The problemSetting up a Godot project, checking it imports cleanly and producing a Web build is repetitive, and easy to get wrong.

The outcomeA Godot 4 workspace that the host has imported, validated and exported to a Web build, with the result visible in the workbench.

What you need first

  • macOS, the current tested and packaged target
  • Node.js 22 LTS and npm
  • A ChatGPT/Codex account
  • An available image route: a configured image provider or Codex ImageGen
  • Godot 4 with exactly matching Web export templates, only for Godot projects

Steps

  1. Install Godot 4 and the Web export templates that exactly match your Godot version.
  2. git clone https://github.com/Innate-Labs/Noobi.ai.git
  3. cd Noobi.ai
  4. npm ci
  5. npm run dev
  6. In the workbench, sign in to Codex, describe your game and let the Agent select Godot 4.

Prompt for your agent

In the Noobi.ai repo at <path>, install dependencies with `npm ci`, start the app with `npm run dev`, and submit a Godot 4 game brief: <game idea>. Expect a Godot 4 workspace with a Compatibility-renderer Web export; verify that the environment and export-template checks passed before counting the run as complete.

Caveat. Godot delivery currently targets a Compatibility-renderer Web export, and automatic native macOS, Windows and Linux exports are not connected yet.
