Authorization notice. Jasna is dual-use. Only use it on software, sites and systems you own or have explicit permission to test.

Remote script. Only download Jasna from GitHub, because other sellers' files can run hidden code on your PC.

Who it is forA video owner with a supported GPU who has a mosaiced video file and wants a restored copy without writing code.

The problemMosaics cover parts of a video and the original picture is hidden.

The outcomeA restored video file, with only the mosaic areas changed, saved from the app queue.

What you need first

  • An NVIDIA GTX 16-series, RTX 20-series or newer GPU with a recent driver (610 or newer on Windows, 580 or newer on Linux), or an AMD Radeon RX 7000/9000 (experimental)
  • A folder on a local disk whose path has no Chinese, Japanese, accented or other non-English characters
  • An SSD is recommended, since Jasna is slow to start and load models on a hard disk
  • The Jasna release downloaded from GitHub

Steps

  1. Download the release for your system and GPU from GitHub only.
  2. Unpack it into a folder whose path has no Chinese, Japanese, accented or other non-English characters.
  3. Start the app: double-click jasna.exe on Windows, or run jasna on Linux NVIDIA.
  4. Add your video, choose settings (move the mouse over the ⓘ icon for a tooltip) and click the ▶ button.
  5. Wait for the first job, which prepares the models for your GPU in about 15 to 60 minutes, then keep model_weights when you update.

Prompt for your agent

Using the Jasna repo at Kruk2/jasna, download the release for <GPU and OS> from GitHub, unpack it to <local folder path with ASCII-only characters>, and start the app. Expected output: a restored video file from <input video path>. Verify that the output file plays and that only the mosaic areas differ from the original.

Caveat. The first job is slow on NVIDIA because models are prepared for your exact GPU, and LTX and supporter models need a License code.
