Authorization notice. Blender AI MCP Addon is dual-use. Only use it on software, sites and systems you own or have explicit permission to test.

Who it is forA technical artist or pipeline developer with a large, multi-part scene task that needs planning, execution and review.

The problemA single assistant request for a big scene change can drift or skip checks, and scene edits need to stay in order.

The outcomeA completed multi-step scene task with assignments, attempts and review findings shown on the task board.

What you need first

  • Blender 4.2 or later (the release bundle targets Windows x64)
  • The mcp-for-blender-pro.zip file from the Releases page
  • An account and API key or connection details for at least one supported provider (OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, OpenRouter, OpenCode Zen, Ollama or a custom API)
  • Blender kept open while using Studio or an external client

Steps

  1. Install and enable mcp-for-blender-pro and open the MCP Pro panel in the 3D Viewport sidebar.
  2. Switch the mode from Single assistant to Team chain.
  3. Configure the manager, workers and reviewers, giving each its responsibility, instructions and model.
  4. Describe the full scene task to the manager and start the workflow.
  5. Watch the task board for assignments, attempts and review findings, and read the final review before accepting the result.

Prompt for your agent

Using the mcp-for-blender-pro repo, configure a Team chain with one manager, one worker and one reviewer, then give it the task <scene task description>. Return the task board summary with each assignment and its review result, and verify that the reviewer approved the final state of the scene.

Caveat. The README says a second failed review stops the workflow, so plan for a manual fix when that happens, and the README does not describe a way to resume it automatically.
