Credentials. Private favorites require the configured Chrome profile to be logged in to Douyin, so the skill uses that account session locally.

Who it is forA researcher or learner who keeps study material in a Douyin favorites folder and wants it organized in Obsidian over time.

The problemA favorites folder grows with many works, and re-importing everything each time wastes time and creates duplicates.

The outcomeNew favorites are written as notes, existing notes stay unchanged, and failed links are listed with a retry command.

What you need first

  • Apple Silicon Mac; Intel Mac, Windows and Linux are not fully supported
  • Python 3.12 and a locally runnable Node.js
  • Xcode Command Line Tools (xcrun and Swift) for OCR
  • Chrome installed and logged in to Douyin in the profile you configure, for private favorites
  • A cc-connect instance configured with Claude Code and a working model and channel
  • An existing Obsidian vault that you can read and write

Steps

  1. Complete the install and doctor steps in section 3 and 4 of the README so the /dy command is available in your workspace.
  2. Send /dy --list in a new cc-connect session to see favorites folder names, IDs and counts without importing.
  3. Send /dy <exact folder name> using the exact name from the list, or /dy 收藏夹ID:<numeric ID> if names repeat. (inferred, check the README)
  4. Review the failure report for each unavailable work and send its retry_command only when you decide to retry.
  5. Open your vault and check the new notes in the knowledge directory and the import log entries.

Prompt for your agent

Using the repo llm-xiaoye/douyin-to-obsidian, list the favorites folders available through /dy --list, then import only the new works from the folder named <folder name>. Report how many works were added, how many were skipped as duplicates and each failed link. Verify that no existing note was overwritten by checking the vault for unchanged files.

Caveat. An empty or failing favorites read does not prove the account or network is working, and public access to a video does not guarantee access to a private favorites folder.
