How to watch agent runs in a terminal console with Ruflo

Open Ruflo's terminal UI to see workflows, swarms, cost and events without Claude Code.

Authorization notice. Ruflo is dual-use. Only use it on software, sites and systems you own or have explicit permission to test.

Who it is forA developer who prefers a plain terminal and wants a live view of agent activity during a session.

The problemAgent work runs in the background, and you have no single place to see what swarms, costs and events are doing.

The outcomeA terminal view with Overview, Cost, Swarm, Events and Missions pages, or one printed frame for scripts.

What you need first

  • Node.js with npx available in your project terminal
  • Claude Code 2.1.287 or later for the Claude Code plugin path
  • An MCP-enabled client such as Codex if you use the MCP path
  • Review the code of any mod before installing it, since mods run with your account's permissions

Steps

  1. Run npx ruflo tui in your project terminal.
  2. Move between the Overview, Cost, Swarm, Events and Missions pages.
  3. For scripts or logs, run npx ruflo tui --plain to print one frame. (inferred, check the README)

Prompt for your agent

Using the repo ruvnet/ruflo, run `npx ruflo tui --plain` in <project path> and save the output to <output file>. Expected output: one text frame showing the Overview page. Verify that the file contains the page labels before you report it as captured.

Caveat. The README states the console runs on its own with no Claude Code, but the sample animations use sample data and are not proof of completed swarm work.
