Who it is forA designer or developer who prefers to see effects on a canvas before writing any code.
The problemTuning a layered effect by editing code and reloading the page is slow for visual decisions.
The outcomeA tested effect exported as a component tree for your framework, ready to paste into a project.
What you need first
- Node.js and npm to install the shaders package
- A project using React, Vue, Svelte, Solid, or plain JavaScript
- A browser with WebGPU support for the effects to render
- A free shaders.com account if you want to use the design editor or CLI sync
Steps
- Open the design editor at https://shaders.com/design-editor and sign in to a free account.
- Stack components on the infinite canvas and tune each prop with the controls; optionally drive props from the cursor or a timeline.
- Click Export Code and choose your framework to copy the component tree.
- Paste the exported code into your component file and run your project to check the result.
Prompt for your agent
Using the shader-effects-inc/shaders design editor at shaders.com, help me design an effect for <project-path> and export it for <framework>. Expected output: the exported component tree pasted into the matching component file. Verify that the framework import matches the project.
Caveat. Design and export are free with an account, but the editor itself lives on Shaders.com and is separate from the MIT-licensed package.
