Who it is forA user who regularly asks the AI for the same multi-step phone task, such as a morning routine, and wants one command for it.
The problemEach time, you have to describe the same steps to the AI again, which wastes time and can produce different results.
The outcomeA saved Skill that replays the recorded tool actions, plus a SKILL.md file you can import on another device.
What you need first
- An Android phone that can install an APK from outside the Play Store
- A browser on the phone or computer to download the APK from GitHub Releases
- An API key from a supported provider (OpenAI-compatible, Anthropic Claude, or Google Gemini)
- For building from source: JDK 17 and Android SDK with compileSdk 36
- Optional: Shizuku for the run_shell and app management tools, and Accessibility and Usage access toggles for full UI automation
Steps
- Ask the AI to complete a multi-step task in Build or Max mode, for example set brightness, open a news app, and read the headlines.
- After the task finishes, use the action recorder to save the tool sequence as a Skill.
- Open the Skills section and check that the new Skill lists its tool actions.
- Ask the AI to run the Skill by name in a new chat and compare the result with the first run.
- Optionally export or write the Skill as a SKILL.md file with YAML frontmatter (name, description, allowed-tools) to import elsewhere.
Prompt for your agent
Using the repo Verlintas/BetterAIChat, complete a three-step device task with the configured Agent, then save it as a Skill named <skill name>. Expected output: a Skill entry that lists the recorded tool actions. Verify that running the Skill in a new chat repeats the same actions.
Caveat. The README describes Skill actions including alarm, notification, clipboard, intent, and settings, but it does not list every field of the SKILL.md format, so check an imported file before relying on it.
