Who it is forA developer who uses more than one coding agent on the same codebase and loses track of which session is doing what.
The problemSeparate terminal windows for each agent make it hard to see which agent is busy, which one needs input, and how the work is organized.
The outcomeAll agent sessions sit in one project tree with live status, and you can split them side by side.
What you need first
- A computer running macOS, Windows or Linux
- The VelaTerm installer from velaterm.com/download
- A logged-in local Codex or Claude Code install for agent sessions and audits
- A phone with the VelaTerm iOS or Android app for mobile access
Steps
- Download the installer for your platform from velaterm.com/download.
- Open Vela Term and create a project in the session tree.
- Start one session for each agent you use, such as Claude Code or Codex.
- Split sessions side by side and watch their state in the session tree and status bar.
Prompt for your agent
Using the VelaTerm project at https://github.com/vlinx-io/VelaTerm, install the desktop app from velaterm.com/download and start one Claude Code session and one Codex session in a project named <project-name>. Expected output: both sessions listed under that project in the session tree with a live status. Verify that both sessions keep running in the background after you switch views.
Caveat. The README lists many agents, but the exact setup for each agent depends on that agent being installed and logged in on your machine.
