Remote script. The quickstart pipes an install script from MCP for Blender.com into your shell; use the manual uv setup if you prefer not to.
Who it is forA hobbyist or indie game developer who knows what they want but not every Blender shortcut.
The problemBlocking out a scene by hand in Blender takes hours of menus and modifiers.
The outcomeObjects created, placed and given materials in Blender by your AI app, which checks its own work with views and renders.
What you need first
- Blender
- uv (the setup installs it if needed; use the official installer, not pip install uv)
- An MCP client such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor
- Optional: API access for AI model generators, or the Premium plan
Steps
- On macOS or Linux run
curl -LsSf https://www.mcp-for-blender.com/install.sh | sh(oruvx mcp-for-blender setupif you already have uv) - Pick the MCP clients to set up; it adds a blender entry and saves a .bak of each config
- Fully quit and reopen your AI app, then open Blender; the addon starts its server
- Ask the AI to build a scene, for example a low-poly campsite at dusk
- Ask for multi-angle views or a render to check the result
Prompt for your agent
Using ahujasid/mcp-for-blender, build a low-poly <scene> in the open Blender file: create the objects, apply materials, set up a camera and light, then show me renders from two angles and list what you created.
