Who it is forAn environment artist who wants a dressed scene fast for a mood board or prototype.
The problemSearching, downloading and importing assets one by one slows down every prototype.
The outcomeA scene dressed with library assets or AI-generated models, imported and placed by the AI.
What you need first
- Blender
- uv (the setup installs it if needed; use the official installer, not pip install uv)
- An MCP client such as Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex or Cursor
- Optional: API access for AI model generators, or the Premium plan
Steps
- Set up MCP for Blender with the one-command installer
- Open Blender and describe the environment you need
- Ask the AI to use Poly Haven assets, Sketchfab models or Poly Pizza low-poly models
- Optionally generate a custom model with Meshy, Tripo, Hyper3D Rodin or Hunyuan3D
- Check the placement with camera and wireframe views
Prompt for your agent
Using ahujasid/mcp-for-blender, dress this Blender scene as <environment> with Poly Haven textures and HDRI and two or three Sketchfab or Poly Pizza models, then render a preview and list each asset and its source.
Caveat. Check each asset's license before using it commercially; AI model generation may need provider keys or the paid Premium plan.
